The Gods Walk Among Them

The world is bestrode by those who threw down the Great Dragon. Upon high peaks, in deep rivers, beneath vast oceans, hidden in dark forests and along lonely roads one may find the gods. Take care not to offend them, for their fury is without abatement. Pay them their due, for their benefaction is without measure.

Inzaen Mythology and its Uses

One can successfully use the setting material provided with little more than a cursory knowledge of its mythology. However, a more in depth understanding of the mythology provides atmospheric depth to the setting and provides yet another dramaturgic tool for those who run campaigns in Inzae.

Knowing Those

Inzaa (In’ Zay): Inzaa existed in that time before time when there was naught but chaos and things were not existent. From the chaos, Inzaa formed the world and ruled over her creations until cast down by the Forstmin.

Commonly called Earth Mother, the Great Dragon or the Unfabkin and only rarely by her true name.

Forstmin (Forst’-men): The first men in the world and Inzaa’s servants for millennia. They helped build the Palace of Inzaa. Their powers are great as they know portions of the Language of Destruction and Language of Creation. They arose in revolt against Inzaa and are worshiped as Gods.

They are also known as the Cidren in Todavia, Irsten to the dwarves and Garach to the urks.

Firstmin (Feerst’-men): These are the offspring of the Forstmin. Many came to being in the time of Inzaa’s rule but many more came afterwards. There are those who are often found in the company of the Forstmin but many more reside alone or together across Inzae.

They are also know as the Asidren in Todavia, Erstenen to the dwarves and Gorch to the urks.
