yep, the same trolls. i've met them and they're very nice people, but aggravating when it comes to the CKG (which btw should include an "official", but optional skill system alternative to the siege engine).

<t>it's more likely that Steve will bring your CKG copy with him to GENCON. The real question is will it be in 2011 or 2012 <br/> This book has been delayed for several years due to a perfectionist attitude toward quality editing, which means there shouldn't be a single typo in the book. I would've ...

not to be a doubting-thomas, but i'll believe there is a CKG when there IS a CKG. my hopes have been dashed SO many times with this that i have no hope left. it's sad to say, but true.

<t>Ozchandler - I don't know what the CKG's alternative skill systems will look like, but I always liked the one from 2e - so I rewrote it for C&C. A link to a pdf with the whole thing (including rules for acquisition, and descriptions of the skills in SIEGE engine terminology) is available on m...

anglefish wrote: Hmmm. Be careful of that. There's been more than one CK that was tricked by their players into running 3.0. Seriously, I've read a few times where a CK added this or that from 3.0 and then the players basically said, "Well we use so much of 3.0, let just go back ... because we play...

<t>the siege engine works fine for it's intended purpose as an open generic system to resolve tasks, but my players want a more detailed system for skills to be adopted as canon.<br/> <br/> the "plug-n-play" aspect has allowed me to try several several different ones (RC, AD&D 2e, and 3e), but t...

we use the RC skill system and skills. works fine, last a long time
edit: however, would still like to see an official skill system, or variant, in the up-coming CK guide.

any official word about a C&C skill system? we don't care for the siege engine and other skill system add-ons aren't the same unless they're in the CK book.

<t>I'll be at GENCON and can't wait to pick this up!!! The only complaint my group has ever had is there isn't an "official" skill system. I know the Siege system is suppose to suffice, but to my players it's never felt right. They've stated that once a "real" skill system is released, and not one t...

Dual/Multi-Classing

I haven't seen this option within the PHB. Did I miss it or is it not normally allowed? Thanks!

Attribute Gains

Long time player, new to these boards. Do characters gain a +1 to an attribute every 4 levels as in D&D 3.X? Do some of you other CK's allow it? I've not come across it in the rules, but I've missed the obvious before...
