Rest in Peace Kayolan! My condolences to his family and also to the members here who regularly got to play C&C (and other games) with him. He will be missed.

Re: 5E Type spellcasing Bard fro C&C?
The 1e bard was a hot mess. One started as a fighter for 5 levels, then a thief for 5 levels, then actually become a bard with druid spells. I would actually suggest using the paladin/ranger spell progression (no spells till L9). The hottest mess ever! 1ed bard best bard :) I've used class-n-half B...

Re: Forum Profile Options?
It involves uploading the style then doing the install -> active from the ACP -> Customize. But it's not that complicated, hardest part if choosing style. Go here https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styles-2/3.3 Prosilver Dark Edition might be the easiest to add since it will inherit from the Prosilv...

Re: Clarification
Anytime... But do remember that over use of Siege checks is a problematic. It leads to questions/disappoints about the limitation of their classes. I'm pretty sure this is brought in the CKG, if you over use the Siege check everyone assumes you have to roll the dice to do anything, don't fall into t...

The map in the PDF version is very large and easy to read. My dead-tree version is in storage so I don't recall off hand if it had a pull out. I suspect it did =)

Yes ToU covers much of the 1E demons and rather then wade into the debate again I'll leave that up to the reader. It also has lots of interesting new demons and nobility. But most of posts in the Link above pre-date that. KasierKris was on a roll do these all back in 2010... Read this one if you dar...

Re: Rule about C&C multi-class I have never understood
Yes 1d6 in the case of Fighter / Wizard. Yes you lose out a little bit compared to rolling both and dividing by 2. Adding +1 would fix the range in this case so you might wanted to looks and the possible ranges of the combos and make a house rule. On the other hand multi-class is a huge power jump. ...

Well it's survived many deaths so far. I for one am glad that Bifford volunteered to be point on the Forum. But as I've demonstrated from the beginning, I will always step in when doom has been announced. So as long TLG keeps paying the hosting billing this forum will keep going.

Re: Use of Nets
Got me wondering about this so I went all the way back Gygax D2 - Shrine of the Kuo-Toa because I know they used nets... Sadly no specific mechanic is listed there either. So my gut is, roll to hit (touch attack) then save vs (Dex) to avoid entangle.

Re: Homebrew system for illusionist healing spells
No downside... Illusionists are fun in C&C they scream to be played. I personally just threw away the entire save on healing stuff. I see Illusionists as the C&C Psychic or Psionicist class and don't sandbag them with the extra junk.

There is Gnome Druid in my game that bought a dog at 1st level. He love that Dog, and rode that Dog everywhere but one day that Dog got killed.... So they got a resurrection Reincarnate and the Dog became a Wild Boar... He loves that Wild Boar, he rides that Wild Boar everywhere.

Re: Rune Mark questions/clarification
These are all great question... Sorry thus far no one has chimed in. I've never used the Rune Mark so I'm pretty clueless. My gut on the SR question is ignore the blanket statement and use the SR No/Yes per rune. SR should be pretty hard to overcome by Magic regardless of the form.
