Re: Am I wrong or there's a loophole in the encumbrance rules?
There is an exemple in the 7th printing that clarify that is exactly like I say (sadly). Page 67 says: "Items that are designed to carry and redistribute the weight and bulk of other items are called Capacity Items. Capacity Items can carry a number of items equal to their Capacity. Furthermore, a C...

Is there the Carrion Crawler in C&C?
There is some C&C stat block somewhere for the Carrion Crawler monster? Or I should convert?

I red the 7th printing, the one actually downloadable for free. I should check the old B&W printing I have, that I really like anyway.

Starting a new Mystara mini-campaign
After 13 years I am ready to DMing again. I am very rusted so hope it will be fine. While I have some Ahirde products, I have a great collection of Mystara material, the only official D&D World I ever played in. No Forgotten (never find it interesting), no Ravenloft (never had occasions) and absolut...

Re: The Rogue and the Mace
If it just says "mace" that would be any mace. In the PHB the light mace is 3 lbs. and the large & heavy mace are 4 lbs. Well, if every mace could be included, I think it would have been more appropiate the term "maces". The single term seems to imply that only one kind of mace can be used properly...

Re: Castle Keeper's Guide
A Kickstarter for the Castle Keeper guide last year? Didn't knew that! I have the Castle Keeper where a fighter holds a dead companion. Is that the last printing? While I like the full colour prints of these last years, I think the black and white editions, with the green bands on cover, had a certa...

Re: Castle Keeper's Guide
The Castle Keeper Guide is still a core rulebook? I see that in the new Kickstarter it is missing, so perhaps to play C&C we need just the PHB and Monsters & Treasures book? The Castle Keeper Guide is obsolete?

Half-Elf Empathy bonus
The half-elf Empathy charisma bonus is added to the attribute checks only? Or being saving throws a sort of attribute checks themselves, we can add the Empathy bonus to the saving throws too (for an exemple against Charm)?
Thanks!

The Rogue and the Mace
Happy 2021 everybody. In the Rogue description, it is said the class is proficient with the mace weapon. It is intended the light version only or all versions of the mace are included (light, heavy and large)? Also: in the equipment section I have seen the large mace is lighter that the light and th...

Re: Question about equipment and encumbrance
Your suggestions are valid if skipping a rule could be an option. This way it could be a must because rules are confusing. In my opinion when I pay for something I should find everything and then I should make my choices, considering an Rpg a toolbox. But when I find bad written rules, it is a negat...

Re: Am I wrong or there's a loophole in the encumbrance rule
Rules say clearly number of items=CAP factor, as I transcriptedSnoring Rock wrote: Seriously, the backpack holds 8 "EV" so a total number of items equal to 8 EV (not "items").

Am I wrong or there's a loophole in the encumbrance rules?
Pag. 67 of the new PHB says that "capacity items can carry a number of items equal to their Capacity. Furthermore, a Capacity Item cannot carry any item whose EV is equal to or greater than it's Capacity rating". So a Backpack, with a capacity of 8, can carry up to 8 items whose EVs are 7 or less." ...

About scabbards and quivers
As the note 2 under the equipment table says, "... Large belt pouches equal one scabbard, one quiver..." Scabbards are not included in the equipment section anyway, then we must suppose they are considered included in the weapon costs? Maces and Axes can be hooked to a belt? The note seems to make t...

Re: Question about equipment and encumbrance
The (w) note is present in the equipment section too. For an exemple the backpack, the spell component pouch and so on. Also, ALL of the armors are still (w) marked and the transport equipment for animals too (like saddles). But that's not the only odd thing I noticed. In the previous editions, (w) ...

Question about equipment and encumbrance
Hi all, rules for encumbrance have been simplified a lot in the 6th edition. Still, many items have still the (w) code written in their description line. Why that if it's no more important when an equipment piece is wearable or not? Are perhaps the equipment tables not been updated for some kind of ...

Re: Awaiting a complete 5th Edition?
Keep in mind that the "5th Edition" (really, the 5th printing ) is not an edition of the game. Yes, editing done :) I knew that but I was in a hurry. Anyway, CKG can have soon the full color treatment I suppose, don't know the others. I was about to buy classic monsters but I was in doubt (in these...

Awaiting a complete 5th Printing?
It can have some sense to delay buying classic monsters and the newly-branded of gods and monsters? To await a complete re-editing of existing CKG and monster manuals?

The CKG is next on the row to take the full color tretament? And the Monsters & Treasures book? For this last one I think it could be the right occasion to make some fixes.

Rule Lore: why promoted like an adventure on the Anvil?
I have a lot of expetations for Rune Lore, but, beside having some short adventures in it, it seems to me more a companion than a simple adventure module.
There will be anyway more books like this? For other aspects not touched by the core rulebook for an exemple?
