Re: Slavic Codex - Witch ?

No problem! As soon as I did reply, this forum went offline, so I couldn't look back for your own...I hope it clarified details a bit. The Halifuna can suffice too as the early Eastern Germans and Slavs lived side-by-side and their traditions were blurred. The Goths had said that the Huns were spawn...

Re: Slavic Codex - Witch ?

I didn't make it too clear in this 1st Edition sorry! Hopefully, I can make a 2nd Edition of it soon to clarify, but the 'Kulduny' Class also falls into the Witch category as well. This just requires a simple Alignment change and obviously an allegiance to Czernobog and his demons of the Underworld ...

Re: Oriental Classes?

The good thing is, I am part Korean/Japanese in reality, so this isn't out of my expertise really. It is all part of my heritage and background, and boy is it! The Celtic thing is my academic expertise, and I am soon to add the Asian to it as well with a degree or two as well. Expect the same level ...

Re: Oriental Classes?

ALL Asian Character classes will be thoroughly covered in the three Codices in the works now! I plan to define them according to the basic C & C format, and those beyond the standard. I am even going to try to add Chi/Qi/Ki and Martial Arts rules too and make it so that the movies and tales can ...

Re: Origins... who's going?

For everyone going to Origins, please cast your votes for two of our Codices that are nominated for awards this year! That is right, both the 'Codex Germania' and 'Codex Slavorum' are up for awards in the 'Best RPG Supplement' Category this year. There will be a voting booth there for all Con-Goers ...

Re: Adventures for use with Codex Celtarum

Mr. Young, great work with Codex Celtarum and the other codices too. Loved the Codex Germania above all, I have to say. I Hope you keep on your excellent work, and I wish to see some day a codex on egyptian, mesopotamian and levantine cultures too! My regards. M. Thanks a million, and oddly enough ...

Re: Adventures for use with Codex Celtarum

Thanks Celticgamer. The book is a wonderful piece of work. I am no scholar in Celtic myth but have been pondering on a number of possibilities for campaigns in this space - say for example the Dark Age Arthurian myth space. Are you able to give us a little bit of insight on the possible ETAs for th...

Re: Adventures for use with Codex Celtarum

All of the 'F' Series is meant for the 'Codex Celtarum', 1st and future 2nd Editions actually, plus I have about four to five more modules ready-to-go for publication. I am just waiting for them to be next in line. They have been written for a few years now. I am happy you like the 1st Edition, but ...

Print codices all available in Troll Lords online store! Germania ordered, am going to digest that one, then see if other two have migrated over to B&N... have a gift card set aside to use for them! Kick starters, would love to see a review! Mick I would like to see some reviews too, as always!

Re: Codex news...

On a related note: The 2nd Edition to the ' Codex Celtarum ' is done, and it is over 200,000+ words in size. To put this in perspective, the average Codex is roughly about 79,000. In this new and FINAL edition, only barely 8-10% of it is what you see in the 1st Edition, everything else is newly wri...

Re: Sufi mystic cleric ?

This is amazingly already possible. Such a character can be made from a mix of the Shaman class in the Codex Slavorum and the Celtic Druid in the soon-to-be-revealed 2nd Edition Codex Celtarum . I had noticed there was a lack of this overall and now, with these Codices covering ancient cultures, I c...

Re: Troll Lords and C&C

Some Asian-oriented stuff would be great. I liked the 1st edition Kara Tur boxed set, though it had its flaws. Didn't like when they tried to mash up Rokugan with Oriental Adventures. For me, keeping the cultures separate is key. I hated how they mixed up Japanese, Chinese, and Korean names and Rom...

Re: Troll Lords and C&C

I don't have much to add here at this point, except that I hope the Adventurer's Backpack adds some nice juice to the C&C games out there. I'm not sure if the point of that products is evocative enough to see a sizable upswing in C&C, but at my table I think this will entice a few more play...

Re: Codex news...

Yes, really. That's a very bold statement to be 'the definable tome.' Perhaps in 1000 pages that could be a true statement. I've read the Celt and Viking works and while they are very good, I don't find them to be the end-all, least-ways for all gaming purposes. Perhaps I have expectations that can...

Honestly, never saw the need or desire for a Conan RPG. But, that doesn't mean it can't be useful in other ways... especially if there's some new take on spell usage. I understand your point of view, but for me, if I want to GM a game in Conan's Hyperborea world, I want someone else to spent the ti...

Nope, I have been told about it by many people and know the basics about it. The Slavonic Pre-Christian religion, although it had a pantheon, a large one, did had an emphasis on the Light and Dark or Good/Evil conflict, and it is thought by scholars derived from an Eastern influence (Mesopotamia, th...
