Re: Resurrection question
Thank you guys for your opinions I'm thinking if the campaign makes it into those Levels i'm going to talk the CK about the spells and probably pulling them out of the spell pool and finding suitable exchanges, possibly exchanging resurrect for an offensive spell and making true res only be true res...

Re: Resurrection question
Well my thought is as playing the cleric of Thor that if I died in battle and was resurrected and denied entry to Valhalla I'd come back with vengeance and blood lust, however my other thought was if the I was casting it on a party member who died outside of Battle or in a dishonorable manner that I...

Resurrection question
Resurrection is common across the fantasy game world whether it be video games or table top games but I was having a thought, as I'm currently playing a cleric of Thor who believes in the Nordic Pantheon. Anyways it is more of a wondering than a thought, given that the Norse Mythos places importance...

Re: Gripe: book spines not glued
There are some people who willfully donate their bodies, for all sorts of things. Such as the plasticized artwork of some German dude (sorry forgot his name) and/or the many numerous examples of skull collections, like those in the Mütter Museum and many others. Going far enough back, perhaps, wher...

Re: Monk Fast Movement
My last PC was combination of monk, barbarian, and cavalier. I wanted the inspire and intimidate abilities but the unarmed/armored aspects of the monk. Very effective in combat, close up. Useless at range... until he learned he could fit in a catapult. One of my goals in my current campaign is to h...

Re: Monk Fast Movement
The Ill Monk has some spells, lack of armor is not a big deal, HP are a bit watered but its a cool combo. The guy playing it has a great time with it.. I on the other hand CKing the Illusionist parts of it still struggle, but again, it was a nice concept, well played and he has fun with it.. what m...

Re: Special Snowflakes
For me I enjoy character interaction and the PCs interaction with the NPCs and when you have an Elf wizard, Half-Orc and cat girl as group together they will get side glances, will be paying higher fees due to stereotyping and prejudicing, and the Half-orc will lose reputation with his race for hang...

Illusionist Monk, that is fantastic, I think Monk is a great class to pair up with especially when your campaign has little magical items and takes a while to gain money

Re: Monk Fast Movement
Just imagine how many steps a halfling or a gnome would have to take to move 30 feet in a round? They would either be replacing pants on a weekly basis or invest in some damn nice magic pants that don't wear out. And what about the chaffing? That's why Monks wear loose-fitting pants, loose martial ...

Re: Question on Purify Water/food
Purify any liquid should "fix" that liquid and make it "safe to drink". So if beer is toxic for any reason to the cleric (which for all known races it is not) then I'd say yes.. so since this is a faith opinion or goal or mission it is simply a change beer or wine to water spell...

Re: Spell traps, another twist.
I used to do things like this with layered illusions and some low-tech cheating like color filters and mirrors so, even after using dispel magic (or whatever), they still weren't sure if they'd gotten it all. Even worse in S3 where real tech is involved. Clever using the RL non-magic effects. S3, I...

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain This game is about stalking people, knocking them in the back of the head, and kidnapping them by tying them to big balloons. There's also a big complex plot, a tie-in to one of the most complex stories of video game history, and a lot of other kinds of fun acti...

I was born in the 1980's and didn't tell anyone I played D&D until around the late 2000's. I still got a few comments about how D&D is a "game of the devil" from super-traditional people. Although, these tend to be the same people who think that vaccines cause autism and Obama was...

Re: Anyone done Dresden Files?
I would love to play a game based on the Dresden files. With that I think the Arcanist with some modification would fit good. I also think the Knghts of the Cross would work well as a Paladin without much modification, i.e. import the damage charts and armor classes and such. I think the monsters fr...

Question on Purify Water/food
If you were playing a cleric class that believed that alcohol is poison to the body (not terribly far fetched since it is quite easy to overdose on and addiction is a thing in our world) would you allow the cleric to cast purify food/water on ale to turn it into water?
