Re: D&D 5th Edition Discussion
Sounds like their profit margins on D&D 5e were not enough for Hasbro to allow it to exist, especially compared to Magic: The Gathering and other stuff. Which is a shame. In my opinion, if it's still turning a profit, then you're best off keeping it alive. Corporate hatchetmen prefer short-term...

So WotC is going to kill their Forums. Say people today do not need a forum to discuss a companies products or to aid the company communicate with their fan base. Twitter is good enough.
Wonder how long it will be before they close the web site itself.

Re: Mongoose Traveller Core Beta
I bought the Beta and for the most part liked the changes made. Few small details that were odd.
I will reserve judgement for the ship system until I get to look at it. Same goes for the vehicle creation system. Neither are in the core rule book.

Great to see the ol' CR bag make an appearance. Crown Royal - The Official Dicebag of The OSR. -SJ That was the first dice bag I ever owned. A friend's father gave him one and a while later gave me one. It wasn't until later I found out it was because he was drinking what came in the bag.

Re: Zombicide Black Plague
Yes, I get that if you don't have the money, $100 is a lot of money. But when you figure it comes out to less than .60 a figure, the cost vs value is not bad. Add in that you get the game itself (if you want to play it) and the value at $100 is really not bad. Of course if you are sick like I am you...

Zombicide Black Plague
Just a quick nod to the Zombicide Black Plague kick starter. If you have not checked this one out you should. The number of interesting PC/NPC and Monster figures makes this a great deal for those who might want to use miniatures in their RPGs as well.

Bought into this one myself. Sadly some of the pages were scanned a little blurry, but readable. Still well worth adding soft copies to my collection.

Re: D&D 5th Edition Discussion
Looks like Rise of Tiamat is now available for Fantasy Grounds D&D 5e Ruleset, on sale for $13.99. With the Steam summer sale, all the D&D 5e stuff FG is on sale as well. The D&D 5e Complete Core Character and Complete Core Monster Packs are $34.99 each. Did they fix it so you could pri...

Re: Is C&C a d20 game?
Saying pathfinder and C&C are both d20 games might be true on some level, but I can say with lots of experience in 3.X/Pathfinder that they are not the same. They share some elements for sure. They have the same 6 attributes for example. But in my mind, I would not have added C&C on a list o...

I realize some here don't like when C&C is listed as a clone, but so be it. That is how I found out about it. :D I just don't like it being called a clone because it isn't. Oh I understand the point you are making, I am just saying I am glad it was on the list. I would not have found C&C wi...

Re: Is it just me or did the Trolls really sell well lately?
I can't speak for anyone else but me, but I was interested in finding the "feel" of the older games without some of their attached problems. So I was looking at various clone games. I realize some here don't like when C&C is listed as a clone, but so be it. That is how I found out abou...

Its not just a compilation of adventures, even though it is that as well, but even so, its a much better layout of the adventures as well. Daniel, at least you still have the 3 new adventures, and the other material in the HH CKG. Plus, one of the first 6 adventures (maybe #6) has been expanded with an extra Fields of Battle scenario. It's a great book, and I heartily recommend the HH Players Guide as well. Oh I know what the value of...

I checked out the Surface prices on Amazon this afternoon and was a bit shocked. You hear about a $400 entry point and suddenly you find yourself looking at a $2,000 machine. I just bought the Haunted Highlands specials, yes all of them. I was so excited so today I sat down to read my new rule books. I started with the "Castle Keepers Guide to the Haunted Highlands". After looking it over I started to get a knot in my stomach. Sure enough, I had just bought the...

Re: The NEW Codex of Aihrde
Its like saying a world map should be the same scale as a regional or town map. I remember the first time I worked with AutoCAD, it came with a map that allowed you to zoom down to a street map and zoom up to the planet view. The idea was to show off what AutoCAD could do. I rmember thinking at the...
