Itlas, Know your going for Descent, I'm sure you all will have fun with it! I did have one last one that you could look into down the road. And that is available in Italian - "Dungeon Saga: La Missione del Re dei Nani" aka "Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King's Quest" by Mantic Games Watched a development...

Re: Descent or Legends of Andor:which one do you recommend?

The D&D board games actually have a fair number of scenarios, with more available on line. At least the last time I checked, with their closing down the forums, maybe such materials were taken down as well. Yes but not being translated in Italian I still prefer to look for Descent You by chance clo...

Re: Descent or Legends of Andor:which one do you recommend?

I took a look to Descent and Legends of Andor and both seems interesting, which one do you have tried and would recommend? My vote is for Descent. Like Treebore said, it can a take a bit with set-up and tear-down, but a fun game to play, whether you do one-shots or follow the campaign. FFG's compone...

Descent or Legends of Andor:which one do you recommend?

Hi guys! I wish to buy a board game Heroquest style to play with my D&D group when we want to stay together but can't play the campaign we're running because some people of the party or the dungeon master are missing that week. So I'm thinking to buy a board game which can be played and quitted anyt...

Re: Spicing up classes

It's up to the players to make their characters different. As the Ck, I have enough to worry about running the game to worry about if the players can't differentiate their characters. R- Agree, when I played D&D by Mentzer with only 4 classes + 3 demihuman classes our characters were very different,...

Re: Race: Human - an attempt to spice up the "average" race

I come at this from a personal view, "Why would I play a human, I am one and I'm in a fantasy game" and many of my games are typically 50% non-human. So I never have to sell the non-humans or the humans each person has their take as it is, so I don't see (personally) the concerns many of you have, ...

Re: Race: Human - an attempt to spice up the "average" race

It's cool to want to give humans a bit of a tweak or something to replace the third prime for maybe more flavor. However, this can get swept up in power creep real fast which would take away from advantages of the other races IMO. I don't think so,because variant humans would be just other races in...

Re: Race: Human - an attempt to spice up the "average" race

I think the best way to spice up humans would be threating them as different races depending by their region, giving them +1/-1 or +2/-2 to attributes and some exclusive traits and skills. This would be great for Masters who want a lot of different races but want their campaign still fantasy and medi...

I've been planning to run a campaign set in Atlantis before the deluge. My idea is that this is basically a bronze age campaign, in which nobody knows how to work iron for weapons or armor. I would add to the suggested material to read also

Legends & Lairs:Sorcery and Steam

and

Sword & Sorcery:Chaositech

they add steampunk and retrotechnology into a fantasy setting and they're both d20 system so easily adaptable for C&C
