Re: New Codices
Got my Codex Sinarum on Thursday. It's okay, not great. As a specialist in Chinese history and culture (though not religion), I don't want to be too critical, but I'll offer initial impressions. {Snip} Wonderful summation, thank you! It's shame there's some innacuracies in there, but I guess 95% of...

Recent Forum Issues
Hey all,
Just wanted to let you know there's been support logs ongoing for a few days with the host providers about the forums continually going down. They have hopefully fixed this now, but if it happens again, please bear with us while we continue to talk to them about it.
Thanks.
Bifford.

Hey all. The Trolls looked into the issues causing the forums to go down. They think it is sorted, but thdy had to use a database backup to do so, so there may be a few missing posts. I'm Not sure how many.
Thanks for your understanding and patience.

.... and the classic Mouse Trap. A few years ago my wife bought the "modern" version, with a giant toilet in the middle of the board and 4 different ways to go around the board with all the pieces all ready set up. Total pap. I dug out my original, with one route and building the mousetra...

TLG & The Gygax Estate re-release Castle Zagyg: Yggsburgh
Stephen Chenault: As many of you have probably heard, Gary Gygax's material, long buried is at last coming back to the gaming table! I cannot express to you how deliriously happy everyone at Troll Lord Games, but for me personally it bears something a bit more personal. Gary was a friend of mine and...

Re: Explanation of C&C Class abilities for new players/GMs
I had missed that Turn Undead was a Wisdom check. Absolutely right.. not to be tried by others. I'm still not sure how moving "silently" is distinguished from moving "very quietly" from a game mechanics perspective. If a rogue and a fighter each try to get past a sleeping guard,...

I love The Gamers. I LARPed for years, so it's fun to know firsthand the correlation between LARP and ttRPGing, which The Gamers nailed.

Thread necromancy time! I dipped into a random page in this area and picked a topic which looked good. Love a bit of good will messages. Is there any user who hasn't come back to the forum since it picked up the pace, who I could reach out to? See if they still are into C&C and wanna pick up whe...

Re: Help Me Get This Straight...
I've been away from the forums for a few days and once more the bickering happens. I *AM* locking the thread. I do not want to see any more threads going down this route of wrangling over "house rules" or "out right changes" to D&D rules. THIS IS A C&C FORUM, not a D&...

Yes, please keep to the topic as intended. Grandpa, you yourself mentioned AD&D in a post just above yourself; Paladinn simply mentioned a small modification to the SIEGE prime rule that he uses. Let's not cause issues where there are none. Let's all remember we are here to throw good ideas arou...

Re: Characters using other class abilities
Hi all, Well here's a first for me on this forum. My admin hat is soundly being placed on my head and being pulled down over my ears to keep it in place. I don't like it, it's not comfortable, it's too tight and constricting, and it stops me from enjoying what is normally a very nice place with very...

Re: Characters using other class abilities
A little admin note, to say I've been watching this thread closely. It's been quite polite and respectful, so far, and I applaud you all for that.
However, I can see it getting near to tilting on a knife-edge, so please tread careful or I'll have to lock the thread down.
Thanks, all!

Temporarily put aside A¦State in order to read CATaclysm, as I will attempt to run it using the scenario in the core tomorrow night (this was four weeks ago now). Just got back from ttrpg night. I am running a quick scenario for CATaclysm. Helped them set up their cats and started the intro. Next we...

Keep it civil, all. Remember that text is a hard medium to use and it is easy to accidentally insinuate something you didn't mean to/read something that was not intended.
