Castles & Crusades.

I kid! I kid!

Not sure if there's been a game that I've hated playing. It's been more along the line of, "Okay, game X does this better for me than this one."

I usually just use the Find function on whatever PDF viewer I'm using. since I don't always know the precise word I will need, I'll probably still prefer print. This is where I find having both print and PDF most helpful. Sometimes it's easier just to skim the hardcopy's ToC or Index, or just flip ...

I think that's best. Those of us who don't like it probably already have our own house rules.

Re: Class Abilities and the Prime Attribute

My groups are already having to be clear on which printing which person is using. Due to the class changes, Grappling changes, Illusionist spells added, class and a half rules, etc... I tend to gravitate to the third printing, myself. We gravitate to the 4th printing. Class and a half is enough of ...

I have used Tree's method and it worked wonderfully. With that being said, I think the current method should remain unchanged in One of the most expressed complaints about C&C that I see and hear elsewhere is about the trap spotting Cleric. Will people continue to complain once the tweak is retrofi...

I use The Thrall from Knockspell #1. It's an incredibly light way to have a bunch of 0-level helpers accompany the party. They're so down and out that they have to be outfitted in order for them to go along. That also explains why they're willing to risk their neck for coin. When one of them bites t...

Nu uh. ;)

It sounds much like what I would have said and heard in '99, so there's my bias. The story changed a lot (and continues to) with the development of OS X.

I edited/updated that response upstream.

Mavericks is definitely worth upgrading to. It's got some really significant changes under the hood that improve user experience. Also, Safari on Mavericks is very, very good. It's not 1999 anymore. ;) Irrelevant post. I'm talking in the last 2 years. No, it's not an irrelevant post thought was a bi...

well, yeah, but it just works better. a little at least. right? I've had both. Sometimes Mac worked better. Other times worse. Especially when running non Apple produced s/w. When factoring in the higher price for less H/W, less available s/w; Mac's aren't really a good deal. It's not 1999 anymore....

I meander between Chrome and Safari. They're both pretty good. Firefox is pretty good on OS X too. There really isn't a hokey one in the lot.

I too have covered books with clear contact paper with great success. It really toughens them up, you don't lose any of the art, and it lasts for years and years.

A credit card was handy for laying the contact paper down to the cover, eliminating the most egregious air bubbles.

Google per se hasn't been hacked. It's a redirect exploit via Chrome. I just used the company's name rather than the product name. Still. I was wrong in that it's a redirect exploit. That doesn't look to be the case. In the search result, when using Chrome, check out the actual link for anything at...

I haven't experienced it on any other site but a quick search turns up that others have the trouble at other places too.

Pondered this thread a bit before writing something up. I think the players handbook can feel incomplete due to its organization and the (sometimes) implicit nature of its presentation. It felt like I got a better handle on C&C itself by reading Amazing Adventures. http://platonicsolid.blogspot.com/...
