Re: What I found out from Steve at Gary Con...
For anyone else who got any info, please add... Forum change, not happening. Steve can't stand the Knights site either. Wants to find a better alternative before doing any kind of change. So these forums remain our home for probably at least another 5 years. (My estimate, not Steve's) Steve is goin...

The Knights Forums
Greetings all! We are beginning the slow shift of material to the Knights of the Crusade page. It is fully functional and easy to navigate. I made a few posts of there today. But if you have material on these forums that supports the game we all love, I'd love it if you could migrate it to the new p...

Re: Victorious Impressions - Print Copy
When I get the one done of the current printing, I'll send it to Tim. He can get it to you. I am still too leary of your e-mail pit of darkness. As for the one prior to being printed, if you never got it, no wonder why there are so damn many silly mistakes. Which again is why I am extremely wary of...

Re: Victorious Impressions - Print Copy
Really? That is sort of shady business practice in my opinion. It is not like it was not seen and pointed out on this forum and the google+ pages. I am not asking for them to reprint, I understand they are small press but an acknowledgment would be nice. Companies like Paizo have on several occasio...

Re: Victorious Impressions - Print Copy
Will there be a response to the issues with the print run? Or was there and I missed it. Nothing official. My personal impression is the Trolls are going to publlicly act as if nothing went wrong, and fix the mistake for any future printings. Which isn't really surprising, since they can't afford t...

Re: So Steve sucks at promoting TLG ...
Where I actually do best is in "interview" situations. I can go into all kinds of game related and company related stuff. But I've found when I do the 'selfie' video it takes a full day to do it and its quite dry. I've been doing well on the radio show I've been on twice and that in mind I...

C&C Joins the Familiars Kickstater
About the fifth person who mentioned this sent me over the top. Should have done it from the beginning, but we have expanded the kickstarter to include the C&C book as well. All in Full Color! Join the Fray! https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/005/404/616/3b6e578c5459bfd90eb654a2afabf945_original.j...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
Put the maps on the inside of the cover, and don't staple the covers to the module. If you have too many maps to fit on the cover, print a second "cover" (doesn't have to be on the cardstock, but you cans till do so if cost won't be a killer). Some famous 1E modules were done this way, an...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
That's how I see it. Of all the things you have listed, I most would be interested in the Adventurerer's Backpack, Aufstrag, both short and medium length adventures. After that, everything else. R- Rigon, So the ADB is top for you. Aufstrag part of it and the adventures right in there. I've mused o...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
If there is a book on planes, hopefully there will be a section for utter randomness. I imagine the Chaotic ones, specifically, might change and bend at their own whim... sort of like a cackling madman on acid. That's a great idea! But would require a mountain of charts. Be fun as hell to play thou...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
1) Tome of the Unclean. Like everyone else, I think this one actually hits me nicely in the sweet spot, but I could very well see you wanting to tie this in with a potential Planescape book, too. 2) Adventurers Backpack. This one is one I would really be looking most forward to. I love the rules ba...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
As far as Aufstrag goes, I wouldn't feel cheated by an "Aufstrag construction kit"... some areas detailed, and lots of tables and information about how to build your own Aufstrag. Then you'll be pleased. Level 1 is pretty detailed, with some open areas, Level two more detail, less open, L...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
Tome of the Unclean: Yes. Demons and devils are a significant part of many fantasy rpg campaigns and sorely missing from the C&C portfolio. Adventurers Backpack: A mish-mash book of optional rules is not that appealing to me (I like simple rules contained within a single book), but I know a big...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
I like it all. The order you presented the upcoming material is okay by me too. Though the Adventurer's Backpack, and the Gods and Monsters of Aihrde are at the top of my list. Then we are thinking alike...because of all those things, I would rather be working on Gods and Monsters of Aihrde! hahaha...

Re: Castles & Crusades What's Next
What would the difference be between Oriental Adventures and say the Codex Nippon? Well speaking utterly out of turn and from the hip...the Codex series would have only mythology, spells associated with the gods, monsters etc. The OA would have new classes, abilities associated with those classes, ...

Absolutely nothing in the core will change.Captain_K wrote:Please do not change the core rules, only add to or build on.... I do not want new rules, please expand and add, but build upon your foundation.
It will be new optional classes, etc...in fact everything will be optional.

The backpack is the only thing up that interests me at the moment. Though mention of the OA and Chinese & Japanese books would be of major interest to me. :) Those other two are on the docket, the Codex series. And Jason has said he wants to write the OA, which I'm game if he is! 2017 I'm guess...

The untapped market might be the one that paywalls the most.
Also, I would greatly interested in a mobile game based on Aufstrag.

Then just give yourself a narrow focus outline, and only write for that. Like I said above, start with the great Tree, then work a way down to the great city, making it clear there are MANY other ways they could get down there as well, then just do the city, giving us the write ups of the major pla...

Re: Aihrde cosmology questions
Ah, the Big Troll himself :) Hi there, I've been re-reading the cosmology chapter again and I think the most confusing thing is that the text and diagrams doesn't always match, and this creates some confusion when I try to picture how things relate to each other. Another thing I cannot envision is ...

Wow, that's a really classy move TLG ~ updating the BOF for us C&Cers. Very cool. If it could be printed in color, all the better. However, I think it would be OK if the BOF book was simply remade in B&W. ~O Thank you sir! But honestly Castles & Crusades is THE game and all out content ...

I would think Aufstrag writes itself. Between the great tree, which was saved in my campaign, with a donation from another Elder tree, and the great massive city underground, to all the hundreds, if not thousands of side complexes and lesser "levels". So I am guessing that your just intim...

Ok well here is my votes in order of preference 1. Adventurers Backpack I will get the most use out of this in the beginning 2.Codex Asia I know that nothing like this is on your list but it would be very valuable to me for future games. Either China or Japan as a source would work though both woul...
