I think we all agree 3, 3.5, 4.0, 4.PI, etc it ain't.... But, it can be, if one chooses to go that route. That, to me, is the beauty of C&C. It can be as "Basic" or as "Advanced" as you want it to be. You could use a rules lite approach (four core classes, race as class, etc...

Got say, really enjoying the new printing of the PHB. Though one thing that jumped out at me that I think was missed. I saw that the classes are now in Alphabetical Order...but...the tables and lists are not. See class lists on page 14; 17; CLASS REFERENCE TABLE 1: ARMOR, SHIELDS, HELMS on page 18;...
