Re: Painted Miniatures Question

Egg of Coot runs PrimEvil Studios. He does excellent work, though it saddens me I have not had opportunity to have him do more for me in a long time. Thank you for the praise, kind sir. I'm still painting on commission - contact me either here or via my website (www.primevilstudios.com) if you're i...

Re: Custom made mini's

I've painted a ton of stuff for a client who deals exclusively with Hero Forge. The miniatures aren't bad - no "cartoony" figs yet - but I really don't understand all the hype surrounding them. What you get really doesn't justify the price point IMHO. The steel figures, in particular, aren't worth t...

I've just returned to this forum after several years away from the site. In my case, it was RL and changing interests that led to my absence.

PrimEvil Studios is available for miniatures commissions

Hey all, After an infinitely long period of silence, I'm re-establishing PrimEvil Studios' web presence. Yes, I'm still here, and yes, I am still painting on commission. Updates to the website and Facebook page are coming. If you're interested, contact me here or via the web page: http://www.primevi...

Re: D&D Back Catalog and the OSR...

I'm not interested in what WOTC does - back catalogue or not. I was collecting D&D material years before there was a collectors' movement, and since that time I've acquirred an almost complete run of the game's publications. I've gotten pretty much everything I need, so I won't be waiting with bated...

PrimEvil Studios - Commissioned Miniatures

Hey all, Here are some pieces I did for my friend's girlfriend. These are the first three miniatures from Reaper's limited edition Legion of Justice and Caeke [sic], a charity line benefiting the Child's Play Charity http://www.childsplaycharity.org/ . I will be auctioning off two complete sets (pai...

Re: CKG IN CANADA???

I've put in a number of orders to TLG over the past bit, and I've never found the shipping to be that excessive. Maybe it's because my orders have been fairly large rather than simply one or two books. Waiting an eternity for the local stores to bring in special order gear pretty much necessitates d...

PrimEvil Studios - Commission for Joe

Hey all, Here are some shots of some Secret Skeleton pieces I've done for Joe. I was my first time working with miniatures from this manufacturer, and my feelings toward the figs are mixed. While some of the figs are nice pieces, there are some glaring issues with engineering and scale consistency e...

PrimEvil Studios - Commission for Reaper Miniatures

Hey all, Here are some shots of the Reptus miniatures I've just completed for the folks at Reaper. These guys are from the Warlord line of miniatures, and were a great group of pieces to paint. The more of these figures I do up, the more I think about investing in an army (or three) of my own. Enjoy...

I should also add Reaper Miniatures and Mega Miniatures as 3rd party companies. I was thinking strictly of companies that were still in operation when I first posted. If we're including the defunct ones, then I'll also add TSR, the original version of Judges Guild, and Ral Partha miniatures. The Egg...

Thanks for a breakdown on the contents, Omote. I was going to pass the pass box by as well - already had all the modules. I've added it to the 'to get' list for when money isn't so tight.

I've stuck with the same system I used back in my 1e/2e days: roll 20, and you roll and extra damage die. Thus a longsword would do 2d8 + STR mod. No complaints from my players yet.

I guess I'm a bit odd, but I really enjoy the prep time leading up to the game. Whether it's working up the plot, writing up notes, or painting miniatures - these are the times I enjoy the most.

I'm currently running a Greyhawk game with the C&C rules, though we've been meeting really sporadically the past while.

I'd love to run the following again:

CoC

MERP/Rolemaster

Twilight 2000

I've had a ton of stuff spiral bound at Staples - including a 400 page miniature painting guide from CMON - and have never had copyright come up. I think that's only an issue with regard to copying - ie: 'Could you color copy my M&T, then spiral bind it.' The Egg _________________ PrimEvil Studios o...

I've got a fairly substantial collection as it is, but there are still a few items I'd like to get my hands on. I think I'd go for either the first print woodgrain D&D box or a complete run of Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu gear.
