North Texas RPGCon 2017 Roomie Quest
Hi guys, putting it out there - if anyone needs a room in Dallas for the NTX '17 convention I have one booked with two twin beds and would be happy to split it with someone. The convention is June 1-4. I'll be going up the 31st to help BadMike with setting up but that doesn't mean others have to com...

Re: Flipbook OOP?
I think the flipbook is a sort of novelty product like the digests that gets printed occasionally for cons or kickstarters or whenever the whim strikes TLG, and not a permanent part of the product lineup. Very convenient though. That's too bad, it's my main rulebook. I'm hoping the whim strikes mor...

Flipbook OOP?
Just getting ready to do a new Ol' Man Grognard Reviews video on C&C and I notice the C&C Flipbook is no longer on the site. Will it return? I hope so, it's my favorite and I think I'll need a replacement.

Re: Worst fantasy movie ...
My problem is I like bad movies (being a huge fan of MST3K doesn't help). I like the first D&D movie because it's bad. Jeremy Irons and the guy with blue lips makes it worth it. Such glorious ham and cheese on the screen! And Richard O'Brien! Ice Pirates is high on my stink-o-meter. Also (thank ...

Glad you liked the book Treebore. I still have to get me a copy, seeing as a few of my art pieces are in there.

Re: The C&C Journal/notebook
Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree on the lower price-point (I use a fresh book for each campaign so at the current cost it'd get pricey after a while). Also, yes, grid paper instead of lined. Way more versatile. I usually go to Staples and pick up a composition book. They have them gridded for a decent ...

Re: North Texas RPG Con 2016
Okay, I need to double-check after hearing what Tree said on another thread. WILL you Troll guys be there? I know Mike will attend, as he's running Victorious but how about a dealer's table? I need to re-up on C&C. My flipbook(s) are getting a lot of wear and I also get to see you guys (not to ...

That's nice but I'll be seeing those folks in about 3 weeks in Dallas and they always have a nice sale going on there. Me, I'm waiting for another PDF sale. Re: Are you running a regular face to face C&C game
HAIL yes! I run a Monday night C&C game in Bluffside. We're getting ready to finish a story arc on The Isle of Dread. We're thinking of taking a break for a couple months and play another system then it's back to Bluffside.

4/11/16 C&C Monday Highlight
A highlight from the 4/11/16 Castles and Crusades Monday game: The crew headed for The Isle of Dread and ran into a Sea Hydra with 4 heads along the way. Now the crew have air rifles and other contraptions as befitting a steampunk-ish fantasy game. The cleric loads a rifle with a magic stone which p...

Highlights From The Bluffside Monday Group
I run a C&C group of four who are in the Bluffside area (which I placed in my campaign world of Erf). They're off to rescue a steam gnome wizard who was captured by pirates. Some highlights from the 4/4/2016 game: The group making it to Bluffside proper and using the steam gnome elevators to get...

I'd check and see if Bluffside was added to the campaign world and then become a Steam Gnome Mage.

Tome of Horrors Complete. I've used critters out of there and had great success with it. -SJ That is one THICK frikking tome. Hmmm... I like using Frog God S&W stuff due to the fact that they include both ascending and descending AC which makes it quite versatile. Haven't got Monstrosities yet (I'll probably pick up a copy at NTRPG Con) but my favorite go-to monster book is Tome of Horrors Complete. I've used critters out of t...
