Details are on Discord. It's Swords and Wizardry, around 5th level to start, in the Lost Lands.
As for Penny's game, I'm not sure when she'll have another installment ready.

No problem. He's not going to be a party griefer; the alignment was just to be funny, trivial, day-to-day evil, like not putting the tie back on the bread bag or getting peanut butter and jelly on borrowed grimoires.

Re: Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls Bundle of Holding
It's probably a great game for chat because of the roll-a-million-dice-and-compare combat. Spells and missiles are counted separately IIRC, and now there is "spite damage" so you need to see how each die landed, but definitely faster than the D&D pattycake.

Adventurer's Backpack
I got my print books today for Adventurer's Backpack. The B&W flipbook (PHB/ABP) is great. I always love the flipbooks because they are in B&W.

Re: Spell: Wall of Thorns
Some ideas: Storm Giant has Freedom of Movement; which you may elect to mean it can move through wall of thorns without a strength check. The Monster Ecology section of the CKG gives you permission but advises against assigning abilities to monsters, but here it's actually the balancing factor: a hi...

Well, for $100, you are getting digest versions of seven of the normal-sized books; that isn't a bad deal. I know less about their OD&D-like books.Rhuvein wrote:I like digest, but the price seems high. Is it the cost of printing in this form that drives that price?

Re: Kickstarter - Digest, etc.
It's kind of a neat idea. I am not sure my eyes could take it, and I have multiples of many of the books by now. If my eyes were better and I didn't own anything yet I'd surely consider it. I do like the black and white; if it's crisp that's a selling point. What I'd really like is a hardcover case-...

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?
The system itself ... is different. If I played it or ran it, it would take some getting used to. The player does ALL of the rolling of dice. It is all roll against the challenge set by the DM. Everything, both attack (roll & beat the opponent's defense rating) and defense (roll and get above the o...

I think the problem is trickier than that. I am pretty sure Sieg is now DMMike, and probably because of some kind of login problem that made him make a new account. Maybe a moderator could give him access to the old account to change it. DMMike/Sieg uses a screen reader, so I wonder if that played i...

A non-D&D fantasy system maybe, like Fantasy AGE or something. DCC? Legend? Still haven't played 5e but I think Rigon was thinking of doing that. Also have been wanting to do some Swords and Wizardry against any of their large adventures. BECMI modules using ACKS, Dark Dungeons or Labyrinth Lord? Bu...
