so I ended up with 8 players ranging in age from 9 to 52 years old for a couple of hours last night. pretty cool.
I'll give a longer recap (with pictures) by this weekend. Just been crazy busy since last night.

Re: North Texas RPG con :
eh. may as well count me out. I just returned from GnomeCon yesterday to turn right around and go shopping for a new washing machine. *sigh* The 12-year old machine finally gave out completely. So much for budgeting for a NTRPG road trip.
ya'll have fun storming the castle... without me.

Re: Anyone in the Dallas Texas Area ?
Great news BudaZoa on finding and converting some roleplayers to C&C over the past several months. I have done the same myself with two different groups equalling about 10 folks. woot! and I am currently planning to attend my first ever NTRPG Con. So I hope to meet you there and join i...

blackmote, I see you are in the land o' Hiram. I'm just a stones throw down the old wagon trail from you (round about ye old Lost Mountain). ... I enjoyed reading your couple of posts here (and even more so when I realized you were just down the road). We should pull up to the local pub sometime an...

Re: C&C Demo in Dallas, GA
had about 7 players throughout the day, peaking at about 5. And everyone seemed to enjoy the simplicity of the system, as well as the method I used to draw them into the game (lost in the maze of UnderMountain). I've had a couple of regular sessions since that time, and I plan to hold another UnderM...

Re: Shadows of the Halfling Hall
(apologies for taking so long to get back to this; been busy as crap with everything else in life...) walking as lightly as possible and ahead of the torch, the half-elven rogue Dru-Ha'i moved through the foyer and stepped just into the large hall. The ceiling was about 20' from the floor and covere...

Down Selvetarm [/size] The taproom of the Yawning Portal is dim, cozy and warm. Smoke from a dozen different pipes mingles in a haze that hangs just below the ceiling, darting in and out of the exposed rafters. Small groups of patrons sit at low tables, trading conversation in low voices, occasiona...

Monday Jan 21st is a holiday for my workplace. I plan to camp out most of the day at our local game store . I will have with me the C&C PHB, CKG, and M&T books, as well as my CK Screens - all purchased from Tyler at GaryCon 2012. I will also have the new Pathfinder Bestiary (cardstock minis...

Welcome back, Hoyt. Sounds like an awesome game. I'd actually like to PLAY instead of ck'ing all of the time. Glad you have been hard at it since last year's Gary Con. Thanks Tyler. And I always tell people stories about the great time I had at Gary Con - especially with the C&C games I was abl...

*deep breath* alright... after a long 8+ month delay, and after battling that 7-headed hydra we call 'real life', and during the month that I claim as my 30th anniversary of being introduced to the Basic D&D (red box) game, I have returned! :geek: I have four players - with possibly more drop-in...

*grumble* once again, real life has shot me down in flames and I am not able to run the game today as I had scheduled. Oh well, perhaps I should stop posting until after I actually run this module. Maybe then I won't jinx it.

Re: Shadows of the Halfling Hall
*sigh* well crap, sometimes the best laid plans - even those revised from original plans - simply go to waste. As I was setting up for the game, the second of my four players just informed me he cannot make it out today. So we'll have to postpone SotHH until another time. Ah well. Their loss. :P I s...

looks like we'll see how this goes sooner than expected. My regular AD&D 2E UnderMountain group will be missing their elven wizard this Saturday due to a previous engagement. Instead of continuing for a session without him, I've convinced them to give C&C a try. 8-) I'll report back after th...

Shadows of the Halfling Hall
so I'm vacationing in Tampa, FL this week. Of course I have to find any gaming stores I can so I can compare to the metro Atlanta region - where I am from. Imagine my pleasant surprise to find the gaming product shelves at The Comics Club in Brandon, FL to contain the Monsters & Treasures hardbo...

new here, but not new to AD&D gaming (27+ years)... and since the topic was started up, where does one find AD&D-to-C&C conversion tables or notes? I have a shelf full of AD&D and AD&D 2E material collecting dust for the past almost ten years during the reign of 3.X D&D. And ...
