<t>I use a basic feat system in my game for the simple reason that my players enjoy having them. Some players really like the crunchy bits, and a tangible reward like taking a feat that gives them a bonus is a kick for them. My feat list doesn't really add much in terms of new abilities, or restrict...

<t>iirc, in 3.X size adjustments apply to AC. No idea how it's handled in 4e.<br/> <br/> IMO, size adjustments are an unnecessary complication for C&C. You only have SML and Large can cover a lot of territory: From a horse to a purple worm. I think the ACs listed in M&T reflects this; it's j...

The "divide by two" thing is simply to determine the average hit points of a given creature. Which they did to get 25hp from 5d10. Quote: "A 5 (d10) hit die, with an average of 25 hit points. So 5 * 25 = 125. Then they add the 125 to the base." This means that the typical example of this critter wou...

A Request/Suggestion for the Boards

What about a CK's-Only Forum? I have players that sometimes frequent the boards, it would be cool to have a spot like "Keeper's Advice", but where any CK can post and reply. Thoughts?

<t>I use exploding damage dice. If you roll max on the die (i.e. a 6 on a 1d6) you have a chance of getting to re-roll and add the totals. You re-roll your to-hit (like confirming a critical in d20), and as long as you keep rolling max (you only confirm the attack once), you keep adding and re-rolli...

As the CK in question, I can tell you my thinking was

1) it was a cool move on Mr. Joel's PC's part and

2) since magical weapons can affect incorporeal creatures like spectres, that they would also affect gaseous form.

So in M&T 2nd print, it says the Efreet gets 1 Scorching Ray per day. The problem is that there is no such spell in the PHB (3rd print).
