Hall of Man Pants

I did a search on eBay to see how much this was going for (not much... :( ). When I typed in the name, it asked: "Did you mean: Hall of man pants?" (there were actually 4 items for that)

Re: TLs Castle Zagyg in PDF

Castle Zagyg, Yggsburgh, and the East Mark were great products. Obviously, EGG "got it." EGG and his co-writer, the esteemed Jeffrey Talanian, were pushing through with a terriffic setting, tons of Gygaxian elements, and really a classic place to adventure. E. Gary Gygax had decided that the home o...

Re: WOTC announcement today?

I'm curious as to what 5e is going to be like, but in all honesty, I don't see what they could possibly create that would get me to buy it. My two all time favorites are 2e and, in recent time, C&C. With C&C being set up the way it is, I can easily incorporate the stuff I love about 2e into C&C wit...

Re: WOTC announcement today?

I don't see any immediate (or obvious) indication that the next iteration will be 4E based. In fact, on the community forums everyone is pretty much just calling it "5E" already. Also, the change seems to *want* to incorporate all popular methods of play style (OSR to new school, rules-light role-p...

The website says "2-Two Panel screens". So does that mean a total of 4 panels? How are they attached to each other?

Re: Attribute Generation

An interesting take on character generation is the "character creation funnel" in Goodman Games DCC RPG. A group of 0-level characters are rolled (3d6 in order) with random backgrounds, and sent out on an adventure. The one that survives becomes your 1st level character, and gains a class.

Re: Questions about awarding experience points

I usually try to have approx 15 game sessions per level. I divide the average amount of xp required for the party to reach the next level by 15 to get the base xp per session. Then after each session, I add up the monster xp, judge how much role-playing occurred, and then adjust the base accordingly...

So, I could not locate Stone Skin in the C&C PHB. Does this spell exist in C&C? If not, how hard would the 3.5 version be to bring into C&C... This is the 3.5 version. I would like for this to be a 2nd level spell in C&C. Maybe drop the duration to rounds, instead of minutes? Maybe drop the reducti...

Re: Monte Cook rehired by Wizards of the Coast

I run 3.5 now, because that's what the player's want. But they know it's not what I want to run. I like 3.x/d20, but it's made me weary over the years. This is so true for me too. I doubt that D&D5 will be any better than 4, as far as rules-light goes, but it will be interesting to see what happens.

That's an interesting idea, and I may well try it. Currently, my house rule is that all healing spells go for the full amount if they are cast in a non-threatening situation. If the caster cannot relax and concentrate on maximizing the spell (e.g., in combat), then a roll is made. oh I like that! I...
