Re: The Book of Familiars

Odd that ghost touch is listed as one of the powers as C&C doesn't have 50% concealment for incorporeal undead.

The Book of Familiars

An excellent book which I will be using for my gnome Fraz Dingle ( mage/thief ) destroyer of Kobolds !! The thing is when reading through the fighters hero weapon I came across some of the weapons abilities that may have been overlapped by 3rd ed. if anyone here could clarify the following powers. H...

Most powerful/favourite magic weapon your character had

The most powerful weapon my character had was a vorpal blade, actually he had two. This was back in the day when I first started when I was 15 and playing D&D was not the same as I play now, back then we went up 10 levels in an afternoon and killed Thor for fun. Fortunately those days are long gone....

Re: 3rd Printing Barbarian

I thought the Trolls are being a bit lenient with only four hours rest, below states it took them a couple of days to recuperate. This fury, which was called berserkergang, occurred not only in the heat of battle, but also during laborious work. Men who were thus seized performed things which otherw...

Re: The Goblins of Mount Shadow ( my review )

Could you list the abilities of some of the unique items like the; gloves that leave no trace and the stealth boots for example. I'm DM'ing Rappan Athuk at the moment but plan to fit in the Goblin module soon.

PS: Do you live in Wales? If so I could probably one day play a game.

Its poo  Sorry that’s not fair and I will try to be more constructive. I have never given a review before so I hope I am doing this right. I have purchased nearly every module produced by Troll Lord games and almost everyone I enjoyed, until now... I will put the following in point form and try...

Actually the real reason was I kept the other players busy making up new characters so they didn't sacrifice Seb to Orcus (They are still in shock funny enough)

The quickest campaign ever!!

Twenty minutes! And this is what happened. So we wait ages for the new Rappan Athuk to arrive and finally I have the PDF's, but instead I decide to start with the Wizards Amulet and then onto the Crucible of Freya. After that I tell them we can start the Mouth of Madness and then the rest as it give...

Re: Classic Monsters: The Manual

I bought the PDF yesterday and started just to skim through checking out how they did the old monsters, so far not impressed with a couple of things. First it appears that they have really weakened some of the creatures, now I admit that I have not read the entire book but when I saw the Behir witho...

I was playing the Keep on the Borderlands ( 1st character and 1st time playing), went into the bar and someone picked a fight with me. Of course it was a guy with a flaming sword ! I lasted two rounds.

Re: temple of elemental evil

Best module ever! We had a lot of fun with this especially the elemental nodes; I took a month or so and wrote all four up thoroughly. One of my favourites areas is on level one with the harpy and ghouls (lethal). I also have fond memories when a party member starting putting holy water in the vats ...

The group I'm running will be playing this just after they finish Shadows of the Halfling Hall. Re: Paladin vs Knight

The Paladin is good but a Knight with a 18 Charisma that can give the entire party a +3 to hit for one round per level is pretty good, and if a mage can cast enhance attribute which ( if you allow ) can raise that to 23 ( +5 to hit for the party) can make life a lot easier when it come to fighting t...

I let them cast the spell ( similar to 1st & 2nd ed), I do make it a bit difficult as its a CL 10 + the level of the spell.

Cheers

<t>Hello

The way we do it is that if a spellcaster is hit in combat they must make a saving throw vs. the damage they took. So if a mage gets hit for 6 damage they have to make a CL6 Int check or loose the spell. The same applies to clerics but its based on wisdom.

Cheers
...
