Can you make it so you can either do a custom weapon or armor, or rename a piece? For instance, I have Scather, a +2 sword of answering. In Hero Lab I can make a regular +2 sword, but I can't call it anything that would help me remember it was special.

Wonderful idea, I'll get to work on that.

Anything else you'd like to see?

Where would you like the name displayed. Easy enough to display it in the window that pops up when you add bonus', but is it enough that the icon for modification get's highlighted, or would you like the name displayed on the same tab as where the weapon is?

I guess I want it displayed in the inventory? Maybe I don't understand what you are asking. Sort of like when you make a custom item or container; it's mostly just a place to put a name, only this is recognized as a weapon and can have a magic bonus.

Aergraith,

Right now, if you add a bonus and/or name to a weapon/armor, the modification icon changes color to indicate that it's been changed.

Let me take a look at what it will take to add the name in the inventory list.

Anything else you'd like to see added next?

Rings, Potions, Staffs, Wands?

Aergraith,

Thanks for the fantastic idea. Let me know how you like this.

I was expecting that I'd see the new name in the Armory list and instead of the normal name in the weapon list, instead of having to click on the tool button. But it's a good start, at least the information is stored, and I presume available to the character sheet.

Magical gear will want charges/uses.

Not sure what happened, but the changes I made have disappeared. I work on this plugin on two different computers, so I suspect I copied an older version over my newer version.

The new version displays the weapons name and bonus' underneath the weapon type.

Gonna have to do it all over, ug.

My apologies.

One reason I was reluctant to work on this myself was I hadn't quite worked out how to use Hero Lab with git or subversion.

I played 'The Trap', but had to leave early unfortunately.

Yep, that is the one. Too bad you had to leave early, the last two hours got pretty intense, and the final encounter was very "climactic". BTW, we played an extra 90 minutes past the scheduled time frame.

In the future, I'll have to schedule games after my family goes to sleep. I was unable to give the necessary attention required to be of any use.

Just uploaded a new version, weapon/armor custom names now displayed in weapons list after adding and modifying.

Yet another version released today, which I think makes 3 in one day. (48, 49 and now 50)

I kept finding problems/annoyances and flat out mistakes, so I'd correct them and upload.

Then I'd find another one, so yet another upload.

Gonna go get some sleep.

Are you still making progress on this? I have herolab, and I think I have the authoring kit already. I'll have to check this out when I get to my other computer - I'm super excited to check this out!

DMSamuel,

Haven't worked on it for probably a month. You have the authoring kit if you bought the Savage Worlds/4E ruleset.

I'm also almost done with my Java program to fill out a C&C Character sheet.

Just need to package it up and put it on my website.

Let me know if there's any mistakes/changes/updates/additions you'd like to see, or even if you'd like to try to help.

I installed the script and made sure that my Herolab opened and installed it correctly, but I didn't get a chance to do more than that.

I'll try and get some time on Sunday to create a couple of PCs and see if it is missing anything I specifically need. So far it looks great! Thanks for all the work you did on it!

Is there anyone using the latest release (0.57)

On the Weapons tab, you'll see the hit/damage bonuses, if any.

This adds any magical bonus, plus bonuses from Weapon Specialization for fighters, and Weapon Training for Elves.

My question, should this instead add in the BtH and Attribute mod, or some other incarnation?

Should the total be displayed someplace else? Summary tab?

I've decided to put the grand totals on the Armory summary panel.

Release 0.62 has been released.

This update fixes the validation error thrown when a PC has fists selected.

Sorry Monks.

BoomerET wrote:I'm about to push a new release, focusing on Spell Casters. Due to the way I've changed things (spells now include casting time, components, duration, etc.) you'll get an error popup if you already have spells assigned to that character.

My apologies, look for this update late Sunday.

I was spending time on the PDF output, but a user from G+ released an Interactive PDF, which I'm writing a Java program that takes the output from my Hero Lab plugin, and fills in the PDF, pure magic, so it looks much better than anything I could do in Hero Lab.
