Jim Ward is in the hospital again...

Post by Treebore »

Apparently from a heart attack, but that is not from a "primary" source. So send prayers, positive thoughts, etc...
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

Dudes got two C&C magic books to write. Buck up and rub some dirt on it.

Jim was at North Texas RPG Con recently. As always, a true gentleman. One of his demo games was right across from our Troll Lord booth. It was nice watching him in action again. I took a few pictures of that session. He asked me if those pics were going to end up on Facebook, with a goat's head in place of his own. Last I heard, Frank said he was on the mend. However, no Nexus Con for Jim, despite how badly he wanted to go. I think he was over-ruled by Frank, Tim, and Chris. Haha. Keep him in your thoughts. Maybe we'll see him on the con circuit soon.

Jim ran a game for about 10 fortunate souls (of which I was one) at Troll Con a few years back. Even though my Ranger died at the hands of a bumbling cohort, the game was top notch and truly fun. If any of you cats ever get a chance to roll a character at Jim's game table, do not squander the chance.

And, he's just a great dude to talk to at conventions. We chatted extensively at GaryCon this year. Top-notch fella.

Spot on, Breakdaddy and Omote. Jim is all of the above, and then some. When Troll Lord attended the first Gamehole Con in Wisconsin last year, I contacted Jim about running his Beneath the Dome adventure for us. He called me back, and was more than happy to oblige. We didn't know we were going to Ntrpg Con until late in the game, or else he'd have helped us again. Afterall, he's sure to be running Met Alpha and some of his Eldritch Entertainment adventures. I first met him at Troll Con 09. I got there early, and he was sitting in the gaming areas. Other than a few Trolls, we were the only ones there at that point. He was very personable, and happy to sign my Gamma World editions, etc. I played in his Tainted Lands game that year. He didn't kill my character, I did. haha. I met him again briefly at GenCon 09. Didn't see him again until Gary Con (2012). Wasn't until the last year and a half or two that I got to know him a little better. He even recognized me at ntrpg, to my surprise. Then again, I'm only slightly less wooly than Davis. Haha. Anyway, he's among my top favorite people of the rpg circuit. :)

I have seen a new update that his kidneys are not functioning properly, so will be in the hospital for about another week.
