I mentioned I planned to specialize in federal Indian law after law school.
seleran asked:
On who's side? Wink
On the Tribe's side, of course! Will be spending my summer working for Legal Services offering free legal aid to Oregon tribes and tribal members without the $$ to hire a lawyer.
Cool. I've lived on reservations, and they are horrible things. Natives need all the help they can get, and there aren't a lot of people willing to do that, and it pisses me off. Glad you're one of the good guys!
Thanks for the good thoughts. I decided to go to law school hoping I'd find the right niche for me to be able to help folks. I took the intro Federal Indian law course last summer, and knew I'd found my place in the legal world. Now, if congress would just put up some more money for student loan debt relief for public interest lawyers, I'd be all set....

Greetings all, I'm Darth. Struggling artist and gamer geek of multiple flavors. I moved to Arkansas a few years ago and heard there was a game company down in LR and so I've been snooping about and hear lots of good things. Once I have a few more posts under my belt, I'll share some of my art.
Welcome to all of you. ......Man I am talking like I have been here for years...LOL.....Any way the people here make you feel welcome so you will be feeling like an old timer in a day or so. Happy gaming from SC you all...or youall
Andrew Gable here. 31 years of age, Irish/Scotch/Welsh ancestry mainly (accounting, I guess, for my fascination with all things British, Celtic and Arthurian). Born in Columbia, PA, currently living in Lancaster, PA, don't know where I'll end up moving to. I'm engaged, with a wedding coming up on October 25 of this year. Unfortunately, I don't know the status of having any children... but that's all a story for another time.
Ermm... I have an undying fascination with Godzilla and other Toho movies, as well as 50s and 60s horror/sci-fi and Hammer movies. A bit of a fascination with the supernatural and cryptozoological, as well. I'm kind of an amateur ghost hunter, but without the cash flow for all that equipment and stuff. So really, my 'ghost hunts' are regaled to the realm of going to a haunted place and poking about. That, and getting chased off by the ubiquitous Old Guy In A Truck. I always did dig ghosts and stuff, I guess that was helped along by my fiancee being equally fascinated with the stuff. We gotta hit up Gettysburg (staying at the Cashtown Inn, dontcha know) and Eastern State down in Philly sometime.
For an unknown reason, I'm obsessed with a local urban legend known as the Seven Gates of Hell and finding the 'real' story that lies behind it.
I'm a fixture of many gaming boards for all editions, under various aliases. Most often known as Jerome Steelsides or, less creatively, Andrew D. Gable. Before anyone asks, the D. stands for Dylan. Hey, my dad's a gigantic Bob fan.
I tend to bounce back and forth between editions fairly much, with CnC, obviously, being on my short list (stumbled onto it originally as I looked for a game whose prep time didn't far outweigh play time, like 3.x). There's occasional forays into 3.x, still, as my gaming group is most familiar with d20 and is somewhat spoiled by the feats, etc. But I don't mind. 3.x for face-to-face, CnC will be reserved for online gaming via fora and such.
And yes, I've managed to make a gamer of my fiancee.

Hey everybody! I'm Scott from Columbus, Ohio. I am 30 years old and happily married. No kids yet, although we do have two dogs, a cat and a house rabbit. I'm a letter carrier for the post office.
I started gaming with the Frank Mentzer red box. My wife actually got me a copy of it (still in it's shrink wrap) for Christmas. A great gift! I've been lurking here on the message boards since last summer. Finally decided to join in.
Anyway, I love Castles and Crusades and I'm glad to be here!

Oh yeah, you were on the old boards and Keeper's Den, no?
Good to see you around again.

Hi, guess I never noticed that there was an introduction thread
My name is John Walker and my lair is in Howell, MI. I've been playing roleplaying games since '76 starting with the little white box D&D, Metamorphis Alpha, Traveller and RuneQuest.
Picked up C & C couple years ago, and I enjoy the system. Hoping to get a Yggsburgh campaign rolling soon.

'Twas I. I hang out on Dragonsfoot a good bit as well, though I'm more a lurker and less a poster.

I realize that after a few weeks raoming there and posting (a little) I still haven't say hi to the community.
My name is Franck, I'm a french guy of 32 living in the state since june 2007. I've roleplayed for the good part of the last 20 years. Mostly European games to begin (die Schwarze Auge/the Dark Eye, Reve de Dragon/The dream Ouroboros, etc.). Never been a fan of DnD before last year, when I dicovered Basic DnD. Then AD&D1 and finally C&C.
I've played with d20 games for a few years, but DnD3 only since last september.
Other wise I've been a great fan of Palladium Fantasy, Kult, TORG, Nobilis, Heroquest, Talislanta... This is in no particular order.
Hi, my name's Elizabeth (or Liz, if you prefer), and I'm married to Sieg here on the boards. I started gaming back around 1981 or 82, with the Holmes boxed set that I found sitting in my local hobby shop. Not a gaming shop, no, a real hobby shop! They mostly sold model trains and put it together yourself airplane and ship kits, with only a small portion of the store dedicated to wargaming-type stuff. I had never heard of RPGs before seeing that box, but the big red dragon sitting on the pile of treasure caught my eye, and the wizard and fighter in the foreground sold it for me. I got it, took it home and read it cover to cover about five or six times in a row; then I forced my friends and cousins to play it with me. Oddly enough, most of them still speak to me...
The Holmes box set is still my favorite of the out-of-print RPGs, partially for the nostalgia connected with it and partially because it's most like AD&D, so the switchover was easy for me when I got the hardback AD&D rulebooks.
I'm 38 years old, married with no kids (unless you count our three cats), and struggle to find work as a graphic artist. I'm going to college part-time to try to someday finish my degree, but it's slow going. I love C&C because it is very much like the game I first learned how to play, and also because a combat encounter doesn't take over an hour to complete with it (unlike some other RPG systems I could name), letting our group get back to the adventure quickly!
