Is Crusader #1 gone forever?

I want to get ahold of a copy of the first issue of the Crusader, but the site says it's out of stock. Is it no longer possible to get this issue?

It's been out of stock for a couple of years now. My suggestion is to check ebay, Noble Knight Games, or any other out of print dealer. Also, you can buy a PDF from RPGNow.

I haven't had much luck tracking down a copy either...

I ended up getting the PDF and I'll probably have it printed and bound in some way at some point...

I was super lucky. Someone, and I'm ashamed that I can't remember who, had an extra copy and gave it to me. Otherwise, I'd just have to settle for the PDF.

Doesn't ring a bell. Anyway, I'm deeply grateful to whoever it was.

Hell, I'm still waiting (ahem, Fiffergrund, ahem) on a copy. So, yes, unless he pdf is good enough, C#1 is gone and lost forever, oh my maggie, Crusader 1.

Err, yeah, that's the ticket.

Collector's item for sure. I think it was like 7-8 months inbetween issue #1 and #2.

Ok, ok! I'm incredibly flaky!

(we all knew this)

Ser - PM me with your mailing address (again) and I'll round it up. I'm pretty sure the Crusaders are unpacked.

I don't even have a copy.

I know Steve has two personal copies in Miler/Kevlar? bags somewhere. I am sure I used mine to swat flies or something equally stupid

Don't worry, Omote. It's definitely collectible. A reprint will be "scrutinized" and thus identified. And so, originals will be distinguished and worth more cash, for sure!!!

Actually, what I'd like to see is the issues following the first one also sell out and maybe see an anthology of issues 1-4 (or something like that) in softcover or hardcover format.

I missed out on issue 1 though I did grab it on PDF and I've been getting the rest of the issues in PDF as well as the actual magazines. I'd surely be interested in anthology editions of the Crusader. Then again, with the way they've been doing the recent issues with the higher quality paper and covers, are fantastic in itself.

Maybe just an anthology for the early issues since issue 1 is sold out and the quality of 4 (if I remember correctly) was bad in comparison to the ones that followed.

Good idea! Anthology... but would such a thing actually sell? probably not. The magazines probably sell less then most of the modules. I don't see an anthology coming, but who knows.

Plus, if you do an anthology so soon, the newer issues will never sell because people will wait for the anthology to come out.

I think an anthology of the first 4-6 issues would be awesome. I don't have any of them yet but if C&C kicks off with my new group of players I think I'll be in line to acquire more resources, and I'd almost certainly buy an anthology of the first half-dozen issues of Crusader.

Are all the issues available in PDF format in RPGNow? Perhaps I should mosy on over there and see....

To be honest, Crusader 1 through 3 are pretty weak. At least as far as I was concerned. Crusader 4 was the first issue that I liked and had content I found useful. 5 was a little better, and hopefully I'll be getting 6 and 7 soon and feel that they to are improvements over the previous issues.

So issue one, again in my opinion, is only really useful to a collector, not to be missed by people who didn't think much of issues 2 and 3.

If you like just "general" content, that didn't really add or have anything for the C&C or LA RPG's, then you will probably like issue 1.

Dragon had an anthology awhile back. It is pretty snazzy. It covered over 100+ issues though. I wouldn't go for an anthology compilation unless it was well over 24 issues. A yearly "best of" maybe. But a compendium of about six issues. I'd pass.

I'm waiting for the "castle" version that'll feature premade adventure scenarios.

I love my "Best of Dragon" mags, so a "Best of Crusader" would definitely be a hit with me.
