Towers of Adventure example in Crusader 14

Post by Tadhg »

Haha, I like Jims Towers of Adventure example. As soon as I realized what it was, I stopped reading and for fun, created my own goblin tower to compare with Master Jim.

It was a boat load of fun to put together in a short time (I did take a bit more than 5 minutes probable ten, as I was reading lots more than I needed to) and of course if one takes more time they can really create a masterpiece.

Here is my goblin tower:

Adventure Hook #7 The Magistrates Tower Problem

Level 1

1. Guard dogs X2 (140)

2. Rat swarm X12 (134)

3. Choking gas trap (297)

4. Equipment, extra cheap goblin armor and swords & barrels of unknown material.

5. Goblin militia X10 (131)

6. Trapping metal grate (288)

7. Ants (312) & 75 gps in several sacks

8. Goblin sergeant X1 (128)

9. Storage, food & misc. equipment/tools.

Level 2

10. Massive guard dog (139)

11. Dripping green slime (309)

12. One-eyed half orc chained to a wall (my idea)

13. Goblin strikers X5 (130)

14. Goblin chief (165), secret door to 13 and sack of gold (200) and silver (160)

15. Spiders (medium)

16. Pit trap in corridor to this room wooden chest (500 gps)

17. Goblin strikers X5 (130)

18. Goblin militia X5 (131)

19. Help me fake princess trap w/goblin strikers X10 (130) assorted personal gold on the gobs

I noticed Jims comment about the stairs not being drawn. Not a bad thing necessary because then we get to put em where we want and/or have 2nd story direct access.

Very, very cool RPG supplement and lots of fun. Cant wait to try the gnome tower!!! Heck, Im thinking double towers that connect above and below ground!

Well done, Jim.

Thanks and your tower is pretty good. I am very pleased that Steve let me write that product in seven weeks. There are some stupid grammar flaws (all my fault) but I think I did a good job.

Any chance of original towers appearing in the Crusader?

We are getting some really good adventures with great maps. I think you will like what's coming up better than a few of my old towers.
