Gary Con X

I didn't see a thread on Gary Con X so figured I'd start one here.

My badge is purchased and room is ready. At GXIX I ran an AD&D adventure for three sessions and had a good time. For GCX I've decided to do something different and run Castles & Crusades. Once I get the adventure submitted and approved, I'll post a publicity blurb here for those interested.

With that being said, who is attending? Part of the enjoyment of Gary Con for me is meeting folks from the various forums (TLG, DF, K&KA, etc) face-to-face.

Is anyone here running a C&C event(s)?

As I mentioned on DF, I'll be there. At this time I do not have any plans to run any games this time around, though you never know what may happen.

I'll be there again this year. I didn't even try to work up any events to run because it looked like work might prevent me from going, but that obstacle appears to have passed. I don't see myself running anything officially, but might put something together for an off the grid session.

Look forward to meeting you, Omote! It will be cool to see you again, Buttmonkey. Glad the potential work obstacle is no longer an issue. I enjoyed gaming with you a couple of years back.

OK, Forum Folks... 28 views and only two responses. Is no one else that hangs out here attending GCX?

I would like to go, but used up my paid days off in November. That's a long way to drive for one day of hanging out. Hopefully next year I'll be able to make it again.

I am registered and making plans on going out. Coming in from the Philadelphia area, it will be a bit of a haul. I would like to avoid flying but it's a long drive.
It would be cool to meet up with some folks as well.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it, Rigon.
Hopefully we'll be able to make introductions during the con, T1Hound.

I submitted my event for GCX.

Things Best Forgotten
Thursday & Friday 10AM - 2PM

Your party destroyed a cult operating near the Village of Hommlet. Among the treasures taken from the cult leader, Lareth the Beautiful, was an ancient map noting a location in the midst of the Hool Marshes where no settlement is known to exist. Why was this area important to the dead cult leader? Intent on solving the mystery, your party journeyed to the location on the map... What could possibly go wrong?

Things Best Forgotten is a Castles & Crusades adventure for 4th level characters set in the World of Greyhawk. Characters built using the 7th printing of the Players Handbook will be provided. Participants should bring a copy of the Players Handbook.

I was planning on going, but let time get away from me this year. It may still be a last minute trip wrapped up with a visit to the folks in Chicago.

I like a lot of the games being offered at GCX... too bad so many of them are at the same time I'm running my games! Haha!

Which session? The GCX Events planner hasn't updated and shows no names under either session.

Wow! This registration is probably the best experience I've ever had for a con. The interface worked flawlessly and I got every game targeted that fit within my scheduling parameters.

Thursday
Buried II: A Light in Dark Places, S&W White Box, 2 PM
Arden Vul - The Tomb of the Twins, AD&D, 7 PM

Friday
DA1, Dark Journey, C&C, 2 PM
Tower of the Mad Wizard, HackMaster, 8 PM

Saturday
Escape from Onja Cot, AS&SH, 10 AM
The Plague Monks of Gwent Ys Coed, AD&D, 6 PM

Anyone else in any of those games?
