And people ask me why I prefer black and white... for some reason, they just seem more... dynamic.

Wow, great work, Glad. That fur on the owlbear is really nice. Zara, Brian's been published a few times. Gamewick Games uses him pretty frequently these days and he's done a cover for an upcoming 1e AD&D module by Black Blade Publishing. Where else have you been, Gladiola?

And I agree completely. Glad's pieces always have great stories and action to them.

Thanks, everyone...I appreciate it!

Hmmm? I did a cover for one of Brave Halfling's "Delving Deeper" supplements along with interior work. A couple of modules for Gamewick Games and The Black Blade module you mentioned. I did the banner for a now defunct RPG blog header. The module cover for Len Lakofka's L4 module and a couple of things over at DF for their Footprints e-zine along with a soon to be released module cover for one of Gnarley Bones' modules.

That's about it, I think, not including private commissions that I've done for a couple of people.

Thanks again everyone!

Sorry, John...this was actually a commissioned piece, so it's got a home already.

I'm always open for others though.

*And thanks everyone...I appreciate it!

This is interior artwork for a module to be released in the fall by LL. It was written by Tim Lowell and will be titled, "Voyage To Plague Island."

I've got a step-by-step process that I did for the cover that'll get posted a little later.

Oh MAN! Good stuff. Glad, over the years your ability to depict movement in a scene has really skyrocketed. Some B&W artists, IMO, tend to make the subject wooden, and that is not seen in your work. That feeling of movement creates another level of depth that continues to impress.

*tip o' the hat*

Thanks, fellas!

I took photos at various stages of the acrylic cover I did for the module, as well. I'm still working on the whole "painting thing," but it's still fun to tackle the ol' acrylics.

The first photo here is of the first rough thumbnail I doodled to get an idea of the layout for the cover. As you'll see, it changes quite a bit and I eventually go for a much closer image instead of this pulled back, wide shot that shows too much of the jungle and detracts from the action going on with the characters...

This is the actual initial pencils that I lay down on the illustration board I painted on...

In this one, I cover the figures with art masking fluid so that I can lay on the background layer in broad strokes without worrying about "dirtying" my characters...

The rest is just my quirky steps to get to the final image...

And the final cover art...
