Castle Zagyg/ Upper Works trivia game

Post by Hrolfgar »

A new trivia game covering the Upper Works.

Rules the same as Rhuvein's Yggsburgh, answer a question correctly and will ask the next question.

Spoilers are very likely to occur.

Name the halfling and Yggsburgh candle shop owner who finds himself caught up in a sticky situation in the ruins of the castle precincts?

Hint: Throkk's Men are squatters in the Mad Wizard's Castle who welcome adventuring sorts with lodging and the use of a water closet, all for the minimal fee of 1 gp (they've got mouths to feed you know).

Is the word "nagging" actually used in the text. I read though that section and it only says (or I'm missing it) that Throkk has promised something to Gertrude and she wants it, but I don't see where she nags him about it.

Thanks.

"Nagging" is me taking a slight poetic liberty. While it is not specifically used in the text you can infer that the rotund lass could be nagging her hubby:
Quote:
Captain Throkk only attends matters of utmost importance, most notable the demands of his enormous wife, Gertrude.

and
Quote:
...his large wife Gertrude wants...

Too bad she is so demanding. So, anybody know what she wants Throkk to do? Rhuvein?

Throkk has promised to restore the sunken bath and natatorium to it's former glory, all for her.

Yes indeed, you're up!

Although if he instead got rid of his wife and kept the narcotic 'shrooms, gem of brightness, and the gray ooze he could turn the Castle into a wicked health spa!
Relaxing drugs, a tanning bed, and a mud bath? Sounds like a good business plan to me!

During the day, there is a 1-in-6 chance that a hunchbacked, one-eyed half-orc may be found ~ where?

I'm pretty sure I know this, but I'm gonna see if anyone else wants to take a crack first.

I never know any of these off the top of my head. In order to answer the question I'll have to go back and look through the documents to either confirm or discover the answer. Is this test open-book?

Bueller? Bueller?

I'd say go for it . . in the earlier game, we had lags and/or people who weren't always available - so sometimes only 2 or 3 would go on until others could return.

Capital answer, bill!

Iggy the Mad . . and it should be interesting to see how my gaming group deals with him.

Your turn!

It is indeed the ogre from the Mouths of Madness. Charlie is his name (although I think "Charly" fits him better ), and if the players are lucky they might be invited in for tea and jam.

Batter up!

Keeping with the MOM theme for the moment - What is the name of the rivermen that work the False Urt river and what is their leader's name? Actually, that's two questions, but if you know the one, the other shouldn't be difficult! ;o)

Would that be the Swamp Rats who are led by Captain Edgar "Lord of the Fens" Williamson?
