Aihrde vs Erde

So, I'm trying to figure out the differences between the "The Codex of Erde" and "After Winters Dark: Aihrde Fantasy World Setting".

They sound highly related, but on your site here, there isn't really something that tells me they're either the same, or different (just using similar language to describe things like the Winter's Dark and such). I _think_ I figured it out by looking at the System information on RPGnow. Erde is the d20/3e version, and Aihrde is the C&C version. I think. The only sliver of information to figure it out is that one tiny reference on RPGnow.

Please:

a) confirm whether or not that's the difference between them,
b) if it's not, then explain the difference between them,
c) add that statement to both product descriptions (here, and on RPGnow/DriveThruRPG) so that people don't have to join a forum just to get a piece of information that should have been in the product description.

It is the same campaign world.
The Codex is the d20/3e material for the setting.
The Folio is the C&C material for the setting.

What Rigon said. Also, the folio is a condensed version while the codex has a lot more information. The folio is a better way to go if you want C&C native support and also has a more sandbox-style feel.

Actually, if I use the material, I'll probably be converting it to a mashup of Fudge, WRM, and TWERPS ... with material converted from Swords and Wizardry.

I'm just trying to figure out which material to purchase (which is more up-to-date, which is still being developed, etc.) as my introduction to the setting, for determining whether or not I want to dive further in.

In that case, you will probably want to go with the AWD folio, as it is the "newest" material. I know Steve really wants to be working on the new Codex (for C&C), but there is a lot of other things that need attention first.
