Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
Well, I'll meet your frustration and double the bet ... I love to duck and goose hunt almost as much as deer. That said, I see 40 - 100 ducks each morning, & this morning saw easily 60 geese. The trouble .... I see them in the ponds and fields along the highway driving to work ... Talk about torture .... One morning I will have Canadian fever and call in sick (and that will be the morning none fly or none fly in close to land ... Now back to the important stuff. GREAT GAME ! That was a huge surprise when the skeletons started shooting out bone shards. Then the last cave we looked into ..... to quote a favorite movie "I got a bad feeling about this" However, I do hope the things that crawled out of the cauldrons don't have the special attack Tree described !

Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
So, if I increase Antal's Speed so it is above 15, how much would his Weapons skill need to be to get that 2nd attack?

Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
MULTIPLE WEAPONS ATTACKS An Avatar or NAC with adjusted Speed Base Rating of 17 or higher and Weapons Ability in excess of 99 can add one additional attack action in combat by dividing the base chance to score a hit in half, and applying a penalty to the dice roll for each attack. • The penalty for the first attack is at the halved Score base chance to hit • The penalty for the second is a deduction of 20% from the halved Score base chance to hit. Example: An Avatar with Speed Base Rating of 17 and Weapons Ability of 100 decides to make two attacks. This divides Weapons Ability into two 50 base Scores. The initial attack would be at 50, that for the second attack would be at 50-20%, or 30. Note that the chance for a critical is reduced overall, that of the first attack being 5%, that for the second attack 3%. A single attack would have a 10% chance of a critical, with a hit 99% certain. For Avatars and NACs with less than 17 adjusted Speed BR, add 10 to required Weapons Ability Score for each 1 point of Speed BR under 17 to find when multiple weapon attack is possible. Adjusted Speed BR above 18 allows a third attack with a single weapon when Weapons Ability Score exceeds 149. In this case divide base score by 3. • The penalty for the first attack is at the one-third normal Score base chance to hit. • The penalty for the second is a deduction of 20% from the one-third normal Score base chance to hit. • The penalty for the third attack is a deduction of 30% from the one-third Score base chance to hit. All bonus Harm for Ability in excess of 100 is likewise divided between the multiple attacks being made. If, for example, two attacks were being made with Weapons Ability of 111, the first attack would be at 56 (half of 111 rounded up) and have 6 bonus Harm (half of 11 rounded up) added if it succeeded. The second attack would be at 55-20% (55-11 = 33) and have bonus Harm of 5.

Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
As you can see from the above, gaining an extra attack requires quite a bit of advanced experience.
There is another way to get two attacks and that is using two weapons:
TWO WEAPON ATTACK An Avatar or NAC with adjusted Speed Base Rating of 15 or higher and with Weapons Ability in excess of 80, or one with Minstrelsy Ability in excess of 80, regardless of Weapons Ability, can use two weapons when attacking, with the following adjustments to Weapons Ability Score:
• The favored-hand (or initial attack) weapon is rolled at a penalty of +15. • The off-hand weapon is rolled with a penalty of +30. • A Parry of a two-weapon attack is rolled with a bonus of -15.
Note that attacking with two weapons cannot be used in conjunction with multiple weapon attacks.
For Avatars and NACs with less than a 15 adjusted Speed BR, add 10 to the required Weapons or Minstrelsy Ability Score for each 1 point of Speed BR under 15 to determine when attack with two weapons is possible. An adjusted Speed BR above 15 does not provide a bonus.

That was a great game last night. I thought for sure that we were all going to die. It's nice having a pet fire drake in the party.

Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
Did someone order BBQed Necrourge? * Elbereth recommends that the party rest up a bit and get everyone healed up. He'll start with Igor (who got a little "BBQ" sauce on him), then his henchman, then others if I have any more points left. The good news is we now have this lovely complex to rest up in before facing the rest of the dangers of this necropolis. *looks down at obliterated doors* Or, we may have to rest in one of those grungy caves with the boulder in front

Father John still has a little over 40 AEP's left, and two healing type spells to use...
Godwin and John will rest where ever the horses are able to be.

Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
Rgr that. I thought we were gone for sure when we saw the 4 more zombies, the ghoul and then the necromancer ... I was hoping That the ilf made his roll to change. If not, our best hope would have been a tactical withdrawal , but I doubted we would all live through that. I was still worried when after the first fire attack the necro and 2 of the zombies were up, and then when that one zombie hit the ilf/dragon for 30+ damage. Rgr that, we aren't sure if the necromancer we faced was the only one in the area. And even if he was, there may still be evil/undead roaming around. So, we don't want to leave our horses alone and unguarded. For healing, I'm sure Antal could use some, with Egor's expert marksmanship there at the end and all

Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
Fun game last night, sorry I had to miss a chunk of it right in the middle killing little monsters attacking my girls for real ... You know, with me getting the wolf cape, and magic boots, my character concept just took a different direction than I planned I've already added a bit to Ebeorgar's name ... "Wolf-friend" I hope it helps me befriend that wolf down in the 'stone forest'. ... If not my new character concept may be painfully short lived I still don't want that skull staff though !

Re: Monday night Lejendary Adventure™ game
750 general merits to all who played last week (Dec. 28th).
I'm being a bit generous with merits awards in this game because it's of a limited duration and I wanted you all to have more room for improvement. As per the book's suggestions it would be lower, except for major goal awards, in which case you will each receive one lump award of between 1,000-5,000 merits.

Yeah, I want to advance quickly, this is a "learning game" for me, and the more I get to see characters progress, the more I understand the over all system.

My schedule has changed and I will need to miss tonight's session. On the flip side, the good news is that I will be able to continue gaming Tues/Thurs nights (for at least a few more months before I need to revisit this topic). G'night all and have a great session.
