The Sojourn -SKYPE Tuesday (recruiting)

This game runs Tuesday evenings, 6:30ish Mountain time.

Please note: this game alternates with Cortex Classic every few months, so players should be interested in playing both games. We are currently running Cortex Classic.

1st level, although characters from the Lure of Delusion campaign from last week can be used.

1st-3rd printings o' the PHB.

Roll 3d6 for abilities and arrange as desired.

For multi-classing, just combine the xp needed for all classes, average the hp rolls, then take the best bth, armour, etc.

talked to an old man
he said something about goblins and their king.
but mroe importantly.. he mentioned treasure.
and away we went. the first village was empty, except for some chickens and a man that was down the well.
he mention the fey as well and a druid.
second village was also empty....where was everyone.
third village was burned to the ground.. including stone buildings.
camping in the wilderness later on, we wwere disturbed by a growling.. turne out to be some hellhounds. the assassin went down, as well did the dwarf. i managed to finsih off the alpha dog, whihc made them retreat.
it was during this hardship that the dwarf found god. staying put for a couple of days.. helaing up and resting..
during this i had been doping some hunting to feed s, which had proven mroe than sucessful most of the time.

well we met some living trees, and i went down; trusting that they were friends ; most treants would be normally, but it seemed they were under a spell of the fey. according to my companions, they rescuded me and burned the trees. im thankfull.

it makes me rethink my warrior ways, my fighter side of me. while we rest and prepare, i inquire about gods.. something to think about.

journeying towards the mountains, tracked some prints toa tunnle with a boot and a skeletal

leg. removing the rubble showed 5 skeletons with miner clothing. they raised up as the

cleric began to turn undead. with the power of the gods he was able to turn 1 skeleton.

they ambled up and starting walking towards us. they caught us by surpprise as they went

first in combat. now each member of the party except for giles, had a skeleton on them.
missing my first swing against this undead. the same undead trys to bash in my skull but i

was too quick for it. once again i missed the undead and it backs me into the wall.

it trys to hammer me, as if it was trying to hammer stone. once again i miss my swing, forever

scolding my bastard sword. leaving it up to my companions to take care of the undead, which

they are succeeding at. feeling ashamed i countinue with the journey into the dark tunnel.

a figure was spotted in the distance.

looking for treasure in the rubble is what comes next. 125 gp found in the rubble, made my

day.

as the area is appraoched, there is a boulder and hear a high pitched laughter from a large

builder. a tiny hunched figure in rags and chain mail.


a dwarf shows up.. and says we must eb careful cause we bypassed the orks. flaunting on how

he cannot be caught. he mentions a secret and he deosnt want to eorks to have it. mentions

that they are listening. "walk carefully and behind me to not fall off the ledge"

insiting that we follow him, we decide to follow. wandering across the ledge, easily and then

beckons for us. we come across the otehr side and he rummages around the floor and lights a

torch. light lgints off of metal and weapons. he sayss this is the forge of dragon teeth

mountinas"

his name is fizven. he brought us here to help defend vs the orcs, which we cannot see.
he shouts "run" . at that point we hear as tone clatter, and we see a creature about the size

of a small dog with 6 legs and yellow skin. there are 6 of the creatures.

combat on the edge...
"help me clear the creatures"
agreeing that the dwarf is crazy.
1 down
miss my fist swing stab... agagin im not impressed with my ablity.
3 left..
they miss me, i coudlnt believe it.
another down
and i miss agagin.. why cant i swing a sword....
thw dwarf spins around ina circle and says "run or u are doomed"
and finally i swing my last swing and i wipe out the other creature.

the dwarf gets more and more reiled up and then looks at us and begins to race across back the

bridge. he is mad as he leaves.

we meet a group of druids outside of the tunnel.
they stare at us when we come out and there are three of them.
"and what may i do for u" one speaks...
dark haired, the high druid does grants u and audience, without weapons, and only golden

scikles.
i introduce myself to them. they wait for us to lay down our weapons to see the high druid.
we all lay down our weapons.
white haired, i presume u have journey from far away.
"there is a blight upon the alnd that we are wanting tos top it."

the druids have been botehr by a rget many things in the old woods"
"a large potion which will help crops grow"
those that are despoiling land, within a days sactuary. he objects to the goblins takingc

control of the wolves to unnleash its terror"

rid the area of goblins....
a gnoll deonst fear reprisal for his fear and threats, extorting the nerear by villages..

paying him... the problem that no one else is that grisnack is camped within an acneint

temple. the templ has a mind and will of its own and protect grisnack and icrease his

strength. sacrfical victums.

the horned one, is the deity.
his shadow hung across the world.. fortress offstragh
since the gnoll is there a blight has satrted, the gnoll has to be taken out.
" we can giev u direction to grisnack the bold, if u wish to chance it and truly wish to help

the lands, and the temple he resides in. ballyinoct is the temples name. baleon nakt, evil

and dedciated to teh horned one.

a map appears in the soil
a blessing of the high druid
grisnack is extorting villages

made some good friends, with fellow druids

headed towards the river to the east


first night i coudlnt fidn anything special for a camp.
notice
Mushrooms growing here called Hangman Spirits. Used to create mild poisons.
we awoke to some companions having bloodsuckers on there faces. i was miraculously spared do

to the tent i was in. we recognize them as striges. one gets struck.
we are alla wake and to comabt we go.
one is dead, one is left to go...

they are all dead, i use some goodberries on the wounded...
