Sean Hunter was born to a Wealthy family somewhere on the East Coast of the USA. While majoring in history [college TBD- Arkham or it's equivalent] he started reading about legends and folklore as a hobby. While on vacation in Europe, he had a supernatural encounter that shook him to the core. Now aware that evil existed and preyed on mankind, but unable to tell anyone out of fear of being considered insane, Sean resolved to do what he could by himself. He returned to America and studied the mystic arts, seriously this time. After three years of preparation, he finally feels that he is ready, and he returns to Europe where he will meet the other PCs at some point.

Oh yeah, forgot, Gunslinger, there is no way a socialite has a d8 hp and gun slinger has a d6 ... I'll HR it that the gun slinger has a d8

For level increase. You get HP increase and MEP increase instantly. If you get an increase in an ability it is also an instant increase. However, if you get a new ability, you won't get the ability (or new spell level) until you have had a chance to study in a peaceful save place. Minimum of 1 week of rest and study, but as the levels increase the time will increase too - I don't like the '1 week per level' by the book, but I don't have a hard and fast rule for it yet.

Bronze knife, cast and sculpted to look like a flint knapped blade - +1 to hit and damage (is currently at a -1 to hit due to missing the scales for the handle, a master blade smith can add appropriate scales/handle & the -1 will be removed) . Can hit incorporeal targets and do full damage.

If used on corporeal targets, and anything harder than bone is struck, there is a chance the blade is chipped/cracked (if a 1 on attack is rolled, or if the target has metal armor that stops the attack from hitting, there is a chance the blade will be damaged)

Does that include myself and my wife's character even though we didn't play?

Oh yes, of course.

I do group exp and keep everyone the same exp. There is nothing worse than being 3 or 4 levels below everyone else because you had to take care of real life things.

Now someone the does great role playing or do something critical and use a skill ability exceptionally, I'll give either extra fate points or exp to buy a generic class ability, a skill or trait (or by off a negative trait). But, not extra exp to advance ahead of everyone else.

Born a slave Joe Blue grew up on a plantation in Alabama 4 years before the War between the States. When he was only a little boy he saw slaves being bought by a strange man in a black suit. Stranger still was the slaves he bought. They were old and crippled. Some were imbeciles and retarded. Curious he followed where the strange man took his new purchases. He followed them into an empty barn and peeking through the hole in the wood, saw something that chilled him to the bone. He saw the man in black transform into a bloodthirsty monster that gleefully tore apart the slaves.

He ran as fast as he could and never forgot that experience.

Over time Joe grew to be a large muscular black man he eventually started to fight in pits after gaining freedom after the war. However, he and family were still terrorized by racism and managed to fight his family out of poverty and out of the south.

A boxing promoter discovered Blue and took him in, teaching him fight better than just a common thug. He then traveled to Europe where racism was not as bad as in America and he became a famous prizefighter.

But he never forgot about that fateful night, he knew that there were more diabolical things out there then the evils of slavery and racist hatred.
