Indriks are massive mammalian herbivores that make elephants seem small by comparison. Ranging from 15 to 20 ft. at the shoulder and weighing between 15 and 25 tons, an indrik looks much like a colossal bastardization of a camel, horse, and rhino, with the rough gray-brown hide of an elephant. Some rare indriks are white, black, or even red. The head, especially the large incisors in its vast maw, are very camel-like, though the neck is much thicker, and there is no hump upon its back. These creatures are found in the Land of Beasts in the far northwest, upon the demon-haunted plains south of Ghinor, and, by rumor, in the forested fields of Karak. Legends say that giants and largest of demons tame and ride these creatures as men do horses or camels, and that the High King of Karak has a whole battalion of indriks trained to carry howdahs bearing twenty men each! The Elphan Cavemen of the Elphand Lands have long sought to tame the indrik as they have other beasts, but thus far, to no avail. In the wilds indrik act much as any other herd-minded creature does, being led by a bull indrik toward the best fodder (large, leafy trees along burbling streams) and away from dangerous predators (which, for indriks, usually means nothing less than dragons, men, or the largest prides of cave lions or saber-toothed tigers). A herd consists of a male and one to four females; the sixth, seventh, and eight indrik of a herd will be young adult males or females almost ready to leave the herd. If there are no young adults, there is a 30% chance for each female that it is nursing an elephant-sized calf (7 HD, Stamp (2d6) or Bite (2d6), XP 360+7). Needless to say, even a small indrik is quite a prize in food, hide, and bone. Indrik organs are said to be useful in the creation of growth and giant strength potions, while powdered indrik pizzle is believed to be both an aphrodisiac and a cure for impotence.
Combat: Indriks, like herd animals, have three basic responses to trouble nibble at an annoyance, stomp a troublesome pest, or run from danger. Annoying men and animals will be bitten or stomped upon an indrik can do one or the other in a round while the more dangerous foes will be trampled, after which the indriks will try to flee. A herd of indriks running across the plain is a fearsome thing, as the thunder from their stampede shakes the earth for miles round.
Stampede: When the herd is endangered by numerous smaller or several larger creatures, the bull indrik will lead the herd in a stampede in a concerted effort to run over and crush the offending creatures. All creatures within the path of the stampeding indrik herd must make a dexterity saving throw against a CL equal to the number of indriks in the herd, or die instantly, crushed by numerous stomping feet the size and weight of huge boulders. If a target makes the saving throw, it still suffers 1d8 points of damage for every indrik in the herd (1d4 for each calf) from being buffeted while dodging during the terrifying rush.

Very cool. I have to wonder though, was the design of this critter some how derived from the recent discovery of brontosaurus that is nearly twice the size of the biggest found on record?

Nope, it is a fantasy evolution of the classic Oligocene megafauna formerly known as Baluchitherum. The Wilderlands is chock-full of lost world critters, from dinosaurs to megafauna, and I'll be including descriptions and stats of Wilderlands versions of these creatures in various products.
