I'd put early-life Gord in the rogues list (before his life got way too important and stressful), but I'll admit I'm biased.
Should this be in the OD forum?

Robin Hobb, Assassin's Apprentice - a great case for non-Evil Assassins
Steven Brust - All Books - Assassins: Vlad Taltos, The Sword & Dagger, heck the whole Guild has great characters especially Kragar (now that man can Hide in Shadows even without shadows)
Barbarian (Viking) - Haakon by Eric Nelson "The Golden Axe"
Fighter (Samurai) - Gonji by TC Rypel "Deathwind of Vendum"
ALL DnD Characters in Joel Rosenburg's "The Guardians of the Flame Series"
Monk - Master Li of Barry Hughart's "Bridge of Birds"
Knight - The Red Knight by Miles Cameron
ALL classes eventually in the Malazan series by Steven Erikson
Vikings (Fighters/Barbarians)- MGM - The History Channel

***Challenge: Name the class(es) for:
P.C. Hodgel's "God Stalk" lead character Jametheal Dream Weaver? I'd guess Thief/Fighter (Monk)
or Patrick Ruthfuss's "Name of the Wind" lead character? Bard/Wizard/Fighter?

Get them all for about $1 at ABEBooks.com - every used book store in the world at your finger tips!!!
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.

Andrzej Sapkowski - The Witcher - Geralt of Rivia - Ranger (arguably an assassin, but the hunter theme suggests ranger to me).
