Amazing Adventures Character Creation Question
I'm interested in the optional creation system in which you start with 25 points, and all stats begin at a -2. My question is, if I spend these evenly do i end up with a +3 in one stat, and a +2 in all the others? Am I doing this right? Isn't this the equivalent of 18, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17? This seems high, am I doing this wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Where is this generation method given?Venture-Stein wrote:I'm interested in the optional creation system in which you start with 25 points, and all stats begin at a -2. On page 14 it talks about all scores starting at 6, and you get 45 points to spread amongst them with a max of 18. So it would take 12 points to make an 18, thus you could have 1 score at 18 (12 pts), one score at 14 (8 points), 1 score at 13 (7 points), and 3 scores at 12 (18 points), or even 3 scores at 18 (36 pts) and 3 scores at 9 (9 points).

Top of page 15, two option boxes, it's the second option.

Yes, you end up with a +3 in one stat and +2 in all the others. If you don't want a very high powered game, this probably isn't the method you want to use.

Cool. Thanks for clarifying, I wasn't sure if I was doing that right.
Re: Amazing Adventures Character Creation Question
If you want a more balanced spread for that method, go with 16 or 17 points. Unless my math is off, 17 points should give you:
0 0 0 +1 +2 +2
Or
0 0 0 +1 +1 +3
0 0 0 +1 +2 +2
Or
0 0 0 +1 +1 +3
