Oh, that is a good point. I voted for the cylinder, but in actuality what I want in a dice cup is:
- A liner
- Some kind of lip or "ledge" to ensure the dice tumble.

The shape doesn't matter much as long as I can roll as many d4s as a level 12 magic user needs for magic missile.

Hey any chance we could get binding art on all 3 books that when put side by side have a cool picture? Similar to the Classic BattleTech books?

The C&C Kickstarter now brings you a teaser of things to come. Abyss Walker, Shane Brolo Moore's wildly popular series, is coming to your C&C table very soon. To find out more about AW, help us hit 65K and you'll have a complete AW anyhology (with a little love from Peter Mayhew) and some exclusive art from their new Graphic Novel Tales of the Wererat!

Here is an interesting comparison:

1. When the Swords & Wizardry Complete Kickstarter ended they had 532 backers and $78,189 pledged of $10,000 goal. As this is perhaps the lead OSR game out there (certainly debatable with excellent offerings from Gobliniod Games for Labyrinth Lord and Goodman's Dungeon Crawl Classics) and great game it's own right.

2. With 30 hours the C&C Kickstarter has 522 backers $62,330 pledged of $15,000 goal. C&C is, IMHO, the original OSR game and will likely surpass the original S&W Complete Kickstarter for the number of backers. It is possible to even match or surpass the $78K that they reached.

I say all this to demonstrate that C&C has a strong following and perhaps bigger than many of us out there realize. It's a great game and I'm stoked to see all the stretch goals get blown away. I may even have to bump up my pledge. I'm in at $99, but intend to get a bunch of add-ons (new screen, Codex Norse, Codex Airhde and the Codex Airhde Players guide), but the Tankard is most excellent.

WE are only about $300 away from $70,000 and the stretch reward there, which is six brand new tales of Aihrde and Inzae! Plus we've revealed what is in that room to the right, at $75K... http://bit.ly/3siskick Join the Fray before it closes. Only 10 more hours!

Alright -- we ponied up the dough, now get to work, trolls! :) Just kidding, congrats!

(but seriously, get to work, though! --- where's that Codex of Aihrde I added extra money for, already! :) *cracks whip*

Yes it was a great Kickstarter!

Have to say it was the print AND digital copy that made me back it...

Not sure if your other kick starters did have that option but know at Gencon it wasn't available when I picked up the "three sisters" and it prevented me from looking further into C&C.

I am glad you guys are considering that option at conventions in the future...even just considering is a step. :)

I pulled the physical copy down and have actually started reading it, looking forward to the kickstarted version when it is done. For now will put up with the dead tree version and might even lug it around if I want to continue reading it.

Have to say I like what I am seeing though in it.

Sean

It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed seeing what the next stretch goals were going to be--every unlock felt special, and that's pretty cool. Big thumbs up on this one, guys.

Morning folks! Just a quick reminder: If you have not turned in your backer survey for the Castles & Crusades Kickstarter, please do so ASAP so we can start to get all our orders in and get a better accounting of what needs to be done and therefore get your goodies to you faster! So check your email for the survey and if you have not done so, please fill it out today and send it back in. If you have any questions regarding it, please email Tim at kickstarter@trolllord.com rather than posting or messaging via Kikcstarter. This will get to us much faster and ensure your questions are answered faster. Thanks!

It does! I just posted my comment there, thanking Drance for posting. As I said there, I was not able to attend despite really wanting to. Hopefully, the next time the Trolls are in NJ I will be able to both attend and play.

The Facebook report of these new 6th printing PHBs only states that the PHBs will probably go out before everything else in the Kicstarter. I do not think a time-table was given on that though.

In the latest KS update, Steve stated:
KS update wrote:
We aren't going to sit on this book until the rest of the Kickstarter is done. That will take months. So here in the next week or so (as soon as we get our truck load) we'll roll out the Players Handbook and the Players Handbook ONLY to all the backers in the United States who ordered the book.

So it looks like as soon as the truck gets in (~ a week) they will start shipping them. YAY!!!!

I am sad to say the first thing that poped into my head when I heard that they shipped 300 copies early to have on hand for Free RPG day was.....

RISE TO GLORY!

Ok I will bow my head in shame now.

Trollzah! The Players Handbook PDF is being sent out to all backers of the Kickstarter even as I type. You should receive yours today. If you do not, please check your spam folder. If it is not there, give it until tomorrow then check again. If you still can not find it, please email tim at kickstarter@trolllord.com and let him know. Thanks and enjoy!

Wah hoo!

I got the PDF before the print. It looks great. I see you have the size down to under 10 megs, so it should be a bit quicker to read on the computer. I noticed the art isn't razor sharp (JPEG aliasing) in the PDF, which I guess is the drawback of the smaller size. If it was Peter doing the layout, I am sure it pained him to drop the quality of the images for size, but if he's happy with it I am. You notice it most around the edges of things and in stuff like Peter's signature.

(sad trombone)

Heh, I am excited about this, negative nelly comments aside, can't wait for the print.

Woohoo - just downloaded the PDF.

I am still excited about the hardcopy, of course, but the pdf will hold me over for a few days.

So, when is the rest of the Kickstarter going to ship? I think they had mentioned August, and August is more than half over. An announcement on a shipping date would be nice.

Monsters & Treasure will be out in early September, hopefully along with the rest of the stretch rewards. The Castle Keepers Guide will be a bit delayed as it is going through some more layout and fine tuning. You should have already received your Players Handbook. If you did not, please email me at tim@trolllord.com
