TLG 81401 Tome of the Unclean
Product Type/Format & Price: 8.5 x 11, $TBA
Ordering Info: TLG 81401, ISBN 978-1-936822-72-0
Beneath the dome of blue, lies our vibrant world, where life blossoms in the green spring, or lays in repose in red autumn. But beneath the green, beneath the red, lies the cold, hard ground. Here the roots of things cut the earth, devouring what it holds. Small creatures dig and burrow and worms grow fat on the still dirt. Deeper still lie subterranean worlds, caves, where rock crawls upon spirals of time, creeping from pools of quiet that lap the shores of darkness. And beyond the darkness, beyond all sense, lies a gulf of empty fear, where our demons lurk.
Born with twisted thought, tainted with stains of malice, these are creatures unkempt. Foul of sight and smell, sunk in the darkness of the time’s caverns, the dwell in an abyss, in hell, in the Wretched Plaines of shadow and loss. These are the demons. These are the devils.
Kim Hartsfield, author of the wildly popular, Classic Monsters, returns to bring us Tome of the Unclean. Revisiting those demons and devils of the earlier publications you’ll find the Demogorgan, Asmodeous, Amon, Mammoth, bone devils, ice devils, all the classics and more in this, the next volume of monsters for your Castles & Crusades game!

We are going to set this up as a subscription for the digital content. The full book won't be out until 2014.
More on that in the next shortly.

NICE! So this will be out in 2016, once converted to Troll time?
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Damn cool. Stay away from C&C for a while, come back, and things are rolling. Awesome!!
Can you include Bobugbublz from Goodman Games Castle Whiterock? That would be icing on the cake for me.

This has made my 2020 wishlist (Tree, you are too kind with your release estimates, LOL.) and is among the types of things I want to see in C&C.

AD&D per se is as dead a system as Latin is a language, while the C&C game has much the same spirit and nearly the same mechanics. --Gary Gygax 8/16/06

On another note, I see the Donner reference in your sig. In my home town of Wayne, NE we have a street named "Donner Pass". I pass by it everyday and laugh; especially in the winter.

Re: TLG 81401 Tome of the Unclean
Alright we have this guy ready to go but I want to mull over this weekend.
The Sub will go live Sunday night. and The first part will have set up text for demons and devils, there powers and what not as well as 2 demons and 1 devil. We are shooting for 4 every two weeks, or thereabouts. Hartsfield has turned over 7 that need art and what nots.
Those that are NOT in the SRD, such as Beelzebub, but are in public domain, we will do our own work up on.

Re: TLG 81401 Tome of the Unclean
These needs to be spread on Facebook and the Twitter. Classic Monsters was so good. Kim Hartsfield did a fantastic job on that book, and I will assume this one is just as good. I really look forward to seeing this much needed book added to the C&C library.

Picked it up at RPGNow. Looks good. Can't wait for future installments. At $9 it's a steal.
Re: TLG 81401 Tome of the Unclean
Onthe title page there is a URL <www.castlesandcrusades.com> listed. That URL is not active. I have seen it in other TL books too. Should strike that from future books or, pick it up for use...

Re: TLG 81401 Tome of the Unclean
Thanks! We'll fix that as we go next one.
The second issue will be out next friday. I'm shooting for 3 entries, but right now we are at 2. We'll upload it as its own issue and update your existing file (which will serve as the master file as the book unfolds.

An excellent read Kim. It's about time we got us some "classic" demons and devils. Are we going to get the same treatment for the other "planar" creatures?

How do I get issue 1 after getting issue 2? A DL link did not automatically show up with my purchase, so just wondering...
