I'd like to see some kind of Native American book. I know this might prove difficult as there are many tribes and you could only present one view. But I'm sure there are enough similarities that an over-all (Not centering on any one tribe) could be written.

Honestly, I am VERY jazzed about Codex: Germania, even moreso than for Druidum. Sorry Celticgamer. :/

I am thrilled too about the two Codices and I wrote and designed them! Once I hold them in hand I will have a party!

@Ironsides, there were over a 1,000 Native American tribes at one time across the continent from Texas up to Canada and that would be tough, but there are many related groups which would break the numbers down into categories, and that itself could make such an idea feasible... ;)

It would be interesting to see the kachina alongside totems alongside spirit guides alongside "collecting coup." I mean, outside Shadowrun.

Druides, -um (Druidae, -arum). So the genitive plural (masc.) is druidum, making "Codex Druidum" correct. I retract any objection to that phrase!

All the more reason, then, to use the correct Latin plural of codex (i.e., 'codices' and not 'codexi').
I made sure that if we were to use Latin, it would be correct. I prefer using Celtic personally. I think Steve just used the plural, Codices, incorrectly by mistake in the newsletter. So, you are right, 'Druidum' is right in this! Never fear, we DO take that seriously before publication.
Brian's corrected me on that codices about 11 times I think. I'll get it eventually!

We have officially changed the name to Codex Celtarum. This title far better fits the book itself, being a reflection of Celtic mythology, and more aptly places it with the rest of the Codexi....Codices. ;)

The Codex Celtarum is back from editing and rolling into layout. With a little luck it will be released around Thanksgiving.

Its looking awesome. When we get the first chunks laid out I'll try to get a pdf sample posted.

You know your day is about to get...interesting...when you encounter Naked Goat-Face Man up in a tree in the woods. These encounters never end well...

After looking at it for a bit, I guess the only complaint I have is the greyish/green elfin type dude in the bottom right hand corner. With the white deer/elk (moose for our Scandinavian friends.) on the left and the Naked Goat-Face Man in the middle it seems a little unbalanced. I wouldn't mind seeing the greyish/green elfin dude with a little pop doesn't need to be a "Waldo" pop nor does it have to compete with the deer/elk/moose. Just to stand out a little more. Kind of between goat-face and old lady tree. I know, it seems that there is a ethereal feel to him, but you can still do ethereal with more colour. Having that kind of "triangle" would be better, IMO. Plus it draws the eye to the lady in the tree (Which I admit I didn't see the first time, which was cool.)

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I missed the tree-face the first time around. Beautiful cover. Intriguing book.

Don't bother the Trolls. I'm sure the Trolls are hard at work on this one, making it available just in time for Vision Con 21 in late Feb. ;-)
