Fantasy Grounds Crashing for C&C

Post by TheMetal1 »

Hey all, I'm an FG2 user for several years. The problem I'm having now is with the C&C ruleset. We game every week but every week we're having the game crash multiple times.
Very, Very, Very, Very frustrating. It's like 10 minutes to reboot, reconnect and get set back up.

Anyone else out there using the C&C Ruleset for FG2 having the same problems? I'm trying to find out if it's just me or a problem with the program. Thanks for replying!

I run 2 weekly games and play in several more, all with FG, and none are having problems with crashing.

No issues here. Posting here for help is as useful as if you went and posted on the EA Sports forum... people will help you over at the FG website.

Edit: OK posting from a crap Kindle does no favours... that sounds more adversarial than I wanted. :oops:

I don't think you'll get much assistance here - you should post on the FG forums. That said, Mario and I are both long term FG users, with C&C to boot, so if you have specifics of your error message, please let us know and maybe there is advice that can be provided.

Not sure how this helps him. Have you tried using NBA2k15?

Well, if he can't get it working he can still have an online game. Seems obvious...

@Itlas

Yes I've usd Roll20 before. Not really into it, plus I'm well invested in in FG2.

@JohnD

Haven't posted yet at the official FG forums. I may have a screen capture of the error somewhere. Will post once I find it.

Just a quick update. I did post over at the FG2 Forums. It seems the program has a memory limit (32 or 64). Crashes can happen with too many Tokens. I removed a stack of digital picture versions of the D&D Miniature line converted to tokens. In process I found some PDFs in the files for my other token sets so I removed those.

Low and Behold! Not a crash until the very, end and even then was able to stop the runtime error.
