Who here enjoys playing fighters?
...
For crying out loud, do what you can with the rolls the dice have given you. This is what separates the men from the boys... -Kayolan

I do, when I don't want to do a lot of thinking when I am gaming,
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Re: Who here enjoys playing fighters?
Fighters are in my second tier of classes that I like to play. But I like to mix them with other classes, mainly wizards.

Re: Who here enjoys playing fighters?
This is my favorite class to play.
Re: Who here enjoys playing fighters?
I'm not really a fan of any single specific class as I vastly prefer multi-class characters, primarily because my experience has typically been with very small groups and having several PCs each is tedious. But, I like fighter added to something... cleric is good. Or assassin. I have played a straight fighter but find that the race is more important to me.

I do enjoy playing fighters. the fighter presented as is in the PH is workable, but I do like to have some house ruled changes.

Fighters are typically my second choice, right after Rangers.

Certainly my favorite class. In contrast with Treebore's view, I like them in large part because their lack of fiddly bits means that I have more time to engage in the game creatively. That and nobody is better in a straight up fight.

My favorite class. I'm exactly on the same page with maasenstodt. There's a lot of room for them to branch out, creatively. And since a fairly large portion of the game is about combat, I usually role-play my fighters as mini "field commanders" who can tactically command the battlefield (that is, when my fellow players let me act that out! )

Not at all!
And never as humans!
I hate humans!
I did like my Red Sonja PC from a couple of years ago in Nate's game.
