Post A possible project for the C&CS
Fellow Society members,

When the Society was first put together a couple of years ago....there was talk of doing miniatures mass battles between gaming groups. When your group joined, the larger it was the higher title you (as the CK) had and your territory had a certain number of castles, manors, etc.

Anyway, what I was thinking is this. How about a group project where the Society groups make a "Map" of the society territories. Each group is responsible for the writeup of their territory and its denizens. Fiff (as the Seneschal) would be in charge of distributing lands on the map for people to then fill in. Once done, the combined project could be made up either as a pdf download or print supplement for C&C. Opinions?

Or, depending on submissions, maybe a certain territory could be spotlighted in a given issue of Crusader?

Oh, and does anyone still have that old list of group sizes/castles/etc.? If so, please post here for discussion!

I'd be interested in helping out with this.

WoW ~ I just noticed this post! (Where the hell heck have I been ). Anyways this sounds like a pretty cool idea, and I (and the FPQ) would be interested.

Would there be a overall territory map designed by Fiff, or the Trolls and then each group would assigned a territory?

This could also be "Birthright" style C&C world where the individual groups change the course of the settings history. A setting with lots of knights, cavaliers, marshalled forces and the sacking of "NPC" territory. Other Society members setting war to each other... eh, I'm not totally sure how that might work. The Gods know we wouldn;t want to sew dissent amongst fellow Crusaders. 8)

How does this work for those of us who are lords over more than our own territory? For example, I am Lords' Paladin, but hail from the domain of Crwick. Would I be required to provide details for my homeland, only, or also of all those under my grasp?

Well, I figure Fiff could handle that but IMO ranks like "Lord Paladin" or "Marshall of the Society" are royal offices and not fiefs in one's own right so they really wouldn't apply as far as territorial design goes.

But that is just IMO. Fiff? Hello? Bueller?

....BUE-ller?

....Fry?

The Society, long left to wallow by TLG. I think this was a great idea. I think the first step is to design a map and gather a simple set of rules.

I am more than willing to help on this where and when I can.
