[AC] - THE RUINS OF RAMAT - Oct.26th, 2009

Post by moriarty777 »

Arcana Creations and Brave Halfling Publishing are proud to announce the release of our second CASTLES AND CRUSADES digest module:

THE RUINS OF RAMAT (Expanded)

by JOHN ADAMS with art by ANDY TAYLOR

An Adventure for 4-6 Characters of Levels 1-3

A little girl comes running and crying into the center of the village. When questioned, she sobs that she and her dog were playing just outside of town by that old stone building on Witch's Hill, when a giant, clawed creature came up out of the ground and took her dog. The girl is obviously completely terrified and her dog, which never normally leaves her side, is nowhere to be seen.

You and your companions volunteer to look into the matter. After all, local legends say that vast amounts of treasure lay under the darkness of Witch's Hill. The village elders agree to let you and your party investigate the incident; indeed they almost seem relieved to do so.

This 20 page, digest module includes 5 new monsters for C&C (some converted from First Edition), 2 maps, 6 pieces of art, and a Quick Reference sheet for the monsters.

This module is available in Print for $6.95 (Includes a free pdf of the module)

($1 shipping to the United States)

($2 shipping to Canada)

($3 shipping to World-Wide)

It will ship on Friday, November 6, but you will be able to download the pdf immediately.

Please visit the Brave Halfling Publishing storefront to order your copy today!

Well, what would you like to know?

In terms of the physical format, as mentioned, it is 'digest-sized' and by that I mean it is 5.5 x 8.5 inches. If you haven't seen the seen what the "Secret of Ronan Skerry" module looks like, there are a few pics of that digest module available here:
http://www.freeyabb.com/trolllordgames/ ... llordgames

The paper / cardboard stock we use for the covers are of a very nice and durable quality and the quality of the interior is also of a nice grade of paper.

As for the contents of the adventure, it is basically a good old 'meat and potatoes' dungeon crawl. It's not terribly long which means it can be ideally be played during single session. It is also campaign neutral and thus should be easy to put anywhere you need to. Whether experienced or novice, CKs should have little issues running this adventure. For those CKs looking to throw a variety of creatures at their players, some favorites which never made an appearance in the M&T book are detailed in this adventure (with complete stat blocks in the appendix) as well as a new and never before seen critter.

One of these will be included in the forthcoming issue of the Domesday with an article on Arcana Creations and Brave Halfling Publishing and their involvement in licensed Siege products like C&C.

While I've already purchased it in two different iterations (classic and original), picking up a digest sized C&C version to complete the trifecta is going to be tough to pass up. For anyone who hasn't picked up one of the previous versions, at less than $7, this little gem is certain to be well worth it.

I can't be objective (I'm drawing the maps) but honestly, I think this is a great little mod you'll like.

The premise is intriguing. Are you closer to knowing the release date?

Probably not. I think we will be keeping our little C&C digest modules at just our website - but all of our regular-sized C&C modules will end up at Noble Knight Games AND in your local game store.

But remember that shipping from the BHP site is as cheap as you are going to get. For example, this modules will ship for $1 (US), $2 (Canada) and $3 (World-Wide).

I think the manager just went out to the parking lot where a bunch of them were smoking and gossiping to come back inside to do some work.
We should have an announcement on this product later today.

I was very happy with The Secret of Ronan Skerry, so I'll be picking this one up as well. It's too good a deal to pass up.

Got mine - and once again it makes for a very impressive piece, nice art work, pro-quality maps, a good clean edit and layout and a nicely twisted little dungeon to poke about in. Perfect imaginative low level gnarl.

And for the price ($9.95 delivered to the UK, plus the pdf) this is faultless stuff.

Go on, treat yourself - you're worth it (and even if you're not, the BHP crew certainly are).

Seriously, well done to John, Bill, Pat, Andy and all involved - top work.

It's only like $8 from the BHP website. I've ordered from them before it is reliable. Uses paypal.

The only reason I asked is because I have to put an order in with NK anyway.

I order from NK for almost half my gaming stuff.

I thought you were just (Like me) wary of new sites.
