Just thought I'd post some pics of the latest batch of BattleTech figures. ::MECH POWER-UP DETECTED::

Really nice work, Omote! I don't do BT myself but I've seen a lot of good artistry on the painted mechs at cons, and these are really good!

Sweet. I'd like to take a crack at painting some 'mechs at some point.

Nice job, Omote!

I used to play BT back in the early 90's. Had a lot of fun too.

Nice! Makes me wish I had kept playing BattleTech.

Naw, gentlemen. I did not paint these (I would have done a much better job ). I guess I should probably have clarified that in the original post. However, in one of these other posts I saw some BattleTech figs and got the urge to post pics of this latest batch of BTech minis. I just got them in the other day (from a very talented artsit who is afraid of the internets... ) I have been so jazzed to play BT lately. Great fun. I know many hardcore miniature players don't tend to play BT too much. Apparently there are too many little bubbles to fill in. Bah to them I say! It's a great game that you don't need to invest thousands of dollars in to get into. BT is full of strategy and I just love it. Damn, didn't just sound like a commercial? TOPPS better pay me!

Once you figure out the secret to BT, it becomes boringly easy. Locusts rule the board when hopped up with four small lasers and the medium.

That and I hate all the bubbles and quantum space ammo storage. Wardogs is much bloodier for the bang.

I really dig the slow pace and, "tedium" of BattleTech. There is no one single battlemech that rules the table. Those days are long gone. I have yet to find a game that replaces battleTech. While I haven't played Wardogs, I have played CAV and Heavy Gear. Both have the same type of concept, but manage the game differently.

I like the fact that players can manage all of those bubbles, and that in itself can be a mini-game to experienced players.
