Looks interesting. I wish their preview was a bit more indepth.

Ditto. I'd especially like to know how they're handling classes.

I wish they had a character sheet available for download. I can tell 3/4 of what I need to know about an RPG by the character sheet ...

That is truth. I'm hesitant to jump in at $19.99 for a .pdf of a game I probably already know how to play. The intense focus on the sandbox style of play is intriguing, but with no preview, I'm not sure that I could justify the purchase.

With the setting information describing a previous golden age of super-high technology, I'm left to wonder what the PC scavenge in this game. Do they scavenge pistols that shoot lasers or mighty weapons that survived the end times which may imbalance game play. Is this game more Mad Max and Fallout, or is it not quite as savage as scavenging for bullets and gasoline?

Hmm, a free intro adventure ...

I'll take a look at this and see what I can deduce.

EDIT: It's looking pretty FALLOUT to me so far. An impressive adventure for a freebie, too.

Impressive adventure indeed. There is a system reference document on the 2nd-to-last page of the adventure that gives you the most basics of the game. Thanks for pointing this out this adventure K.

You betcha. Ya, the rules summary is interesting - it looks mostly like OSR D&D, but the 2d6 rolls seem reminescent of Traveller.

Dammit, more RPGs I know I'm going to buy ...

Other Dust is now available as part of the new Bundle of Holding rerun of

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael
