I do have an idea for a rural rustic knight/sheriff type if he'll fit with those character concepts.

I was looking forward to play testing my character class, but not at the cost of hampering everyone else's characters.

Let me know & I'll pull the trigger asap on the other character.

Oh yeah, if I do play the swashbuckler, don't count on me being the moral compose ... He is tooo impish for that ! ;)
What Aramis said.
Lurker wrote:Oh yeah x2, I got the Zoa info you sent. Thanks! Assuming I do play Lupa, I'll change a line or two to make my history fit a bit better. Do you mind if I make up a name for one of the Lady council members to tie the family directly into the politics of the city? It'll be an appropriate Italian ladies name.

Also, I assume that there is a city guard, besides the military units you mentioned, tasked with stopping the smuggling, policing the streets (above and beyond the 100 lancers restationed into small town) and guarding the counsel. If not I'll modify the history accordingly.
Let me dig into a little further. There is a book for Zoa so some of that may be mentioned. I'll try to look at it today.

Those are some great backgrounds. We should be able to do something with those.

We generally stick to a "play whatever would be the most fun for you" rule.

Rgr that, I just wanted to check an make sure an urbane wine drinker wouldn't rub the rustic rubes the wrong way

Rgr no issue and no rush. The next 2 nights are going to be insane with it being a 'drop on request' day. Cadets will be trying to get kicked out, and then be worse when mommy say no to them quitting and coming back home. ... I'll be brain dead each night when I get off shift. That said, by Monday I'll need a good game to balance it out !

I'll modify the back ground as needed even after we start, so don't rush on it. I know how much else you need to think about to get the game up and running.

Yeah, over the years I have pared my backgrounds down; I figure at level 1 I am pretty much a dumbass, like I was every 5 years ago. My background will come from my deeds.

That, and with my stats I will fail my save and die. Sometimes I wonder if I should bother naming the poor blighters.

Indeed.

I'll be packing loads of dried poutine, marijuana brownies, switchblades, fire amber, and some raindeer jerky, so we'll never be without sustenance! Oh yeah, I do have this strange helm that was left to me by my grandad! Not sure how it works, but I'll practice with it before we set sail!

Hmmm.. with the changes in .91 I might be able to host Maptools....
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

It's true we have a large group of good players already (plus Aramis) but we don't have anyone to smoke pipes, jump on tables, or micturate in taverns provoking all-in bar brawls. So your options are wide open

I'll admit that this has to be one of the best if not the best set of stats I ever rolled. However, I'm sure my luck will change the first critical save I have to make ... exactly what happens when you fumble a save ..... :)

Well that had me for a bit, I had to look up the definition for it ... As I'm better bread there will be less of that than the tables and brawls. Unless Rigon plays dirty and puts someone from a specific family in the bar. Then ....... all bets are off.
