The Umbrage Saga -old school 1st thru 3rd phb printings
Re: The Umbrage Saga
Character posted.
Going forward scheduling-wise, I'm largely available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday evenings. I could also do weekend evenings/late-night, although not ideal.

Re: The Umbrage Saga
Hi magick3six:
Currently I have it narrowed down to a few possibilities: Tuesday night 6:30ish Mountain Standard, or a miscellaneous time.
A friend is running currently on Tues, but may need a CKing break. I'll know by tonight actually.

Re: The Umbrage Saga
Thanks again for putting this together. Per my earlier message, I'm not sure I'd be able to attend Tuesday evenings. Right now my weekly availability would be either Mon, Wed, Thu, or Fri.

Re: The Umbrage Saga
I've had an eye on this thread; I am interested in playing A0-A13, but can't tell when/how often you are playing. I'm also slightly unclear on the house/additional rules.
Secondary Skills: Players choice or roll randomly? 1, 2 or more?
Advantages: Class ability substitution, every 2 levels, every 4 levels, ad hoc, or what?
You are using all of Hero, Fate, and Luck points?

Any update on the status of this going forward Slimy? I haven't heard anything since submitting my character several months ago.
Cheers!

Re: The Umbrage Saga
Hey guys, I know the wait has been endless.
I am planning to run this, but am waiting for a game I am in to finish up. I'm now looking at Friday or Saturday nights, 6:30ish Mountain Standard time.

Re: The Umbrage Saga
For those interested in this game, I'm thinking of going either one o' two ways:
1. By the book, 3d6 for attributes, and arrange as desired.
2. The full meal deal: CKG options, 4d6, etcetera, etcetera.
Any thoughts?

Either way, check out my rule templates to make it easy to tell the players which rules you are using.

Either way is fine with me. I can enjoy the full meal deal, as long as it's consistent.slimykuotoan wrote:For those interested in this game, I'm thinking of going either one o' two ways:

I like btb more.

Re: The Umbrage Saga
I've been tempted to use the 'full meal deal', because the CKG is just so damn good.
But after playing in Kayolan's btb game, my mindset is currently focused upon how fun a lean towards realism can be.
I agree with Kayolan's ideas regarding 3d6, but also see Treebore’s side o’ things with regard to characters being a ‘cut above the rest’.
The above say’d though, I think I may want to start this game btb, and see how it goith from there.
