I like to play a lot... but I get to play very few. Here's my list of favorites, not counting C&C, which is actually my favorite:
D&D - Original, AD&D 1st ed, 3.5
Gamma World original
Alternity
Mutant Future
Hackmaster

Lejendary Adventures is fun. And I still play in a 3.x game with my old gaming group from high school (granted, it's only once a year).

This is a hard question since I so rarely get to play instead of GM. There are lots of games I want to try out from the player's side, but haven't really had the chance to explore yet.

Play? Probably nearly anything. Maybe only once. Maybe for a long time.
Run? Different story. The game has to make me want. Has to encourage doing anything.

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
All the ones I own, for the most part, and I own a lot.
Of what I do own, I won't play 3E or 4E D&D or Pathfinder. I don't recall owning anything else I would refuse to play. I probably own a couple, though.
So I will list as many games as I can recall owning...
C&C
AA
Victorious
Chtulhutech
Eclipse Phase
Aces and Eights
Traveller
Legend of the 5 Rings
Spycraft
Savage Worlds and at least 8 of the settings/rules sets.
Twilight 2000 and 2013
Chivalry and Sorcery
Pendragon
CORTEX
Rifts
Paladium Fantasy
Synnibar
OD&D through 2E D&D, including respective clones.
Sidewinder
Dragon Age
Mutants and Masterminds
Epic RPG
Shadowrun 2E through 5th, Prefer 2E.
Star Wars D6 and Saga
MindJammer
Dresden Files
Qin
Wild Talents
Mouseguard
Warhammer, mostly 2E
OK, brain is short circuiting, I'll let it reset and get back to this list.

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
There are lots I'd like to play, but the reality is I generally only have time to run a single campaign, currently D&D 5e.
Aside from that, the games I'm currently jonesing to run:
C&C (Naturally)
Titansgrave
OD&D

Besides C&C....
Call of Cthulhu
D&D (any edition, but Rules Cyclopedia is my favorite. I'll even play 4th Ed. if I'm in a miniatures skirmish type of mood.)
Rifts (the rules are a hopeless mess, but the world and concepts are incredibly fun. Looking forward to the Savage Worlds conversion!)
I ran a lot of Vampire: The Masquerade in the 90s, but haven't done anything with the Storyteller system in a very long time.
And of course, the game I'm currently running is my own "Ghastly Affair"!

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
Same here. I keep thinking about doing a massive oWOD campaign, letting the players pick from all of the books for their characters. It would be set during the 90s, naturally.

Well, Victorious!
<shout from crowd> "No s@@@, Mike!"
Like many here, I like a lot of games, but the ones I've actually played over the past year:
C&C, though my game is on hiatus as our DM has returned to running regularly.
2E AD&D...Not my fave but its what DM Chase wants to run. Its more of a 1E/2E hybrid, which is fine. Evin if it has...<sigh> proficiencies.
Classic Traveller (LBB)
Cthulhu by Gaslight
Gamma World (unfortunately the D20 version, but still fun)
Superhero 2044 (at NTXRPGC, run by Steve Perrin who's revised the rules)
What I'd LIKE to play:
Classic D&D (ideally Original or Holmes, but most any would be fine)
Gamma World (original)
Aftermath (I'd like to try it again with an adult brain)
Fantasy Trip
Man, Myth & Magic
Deadlands (any version)
Top Secret (but only in a Cold War setting)
Bunnies & Burrows
Necropolix
Shotgun Diaries
Silhouette system
Torg
Alternity
Wow, I need more time to game I think.

This, exactly. I own so much that I know I will never play. I've been thinking about downsizing (literally over 5 giant bookshelves of stuff), but I can't bring myself to give it all up. I love reading it, and have a secret hope, that when I retire, I will actually get to play them all. Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
I have been downsizing, sort of. I have 4 large bookshelves full of gaming stuff (and half a closet of minis and tabletop games) that I've collected over the years. I've been taking out the more expensive stuff and selling if off, mainly to buy some of the stuff that I want to pick up - The new Conan RPG from Modiphus, Primeval Thule 5e, The One Ring, and Adventures in Middle Earth stuff for example...basically, more stuff I probably won't get to play. I know I need to break the cycle and just put that money towards something else, but I don't. The stuff I'm selling is stuff is stuff that neat to have (like Heroes of Legend, old Judges Guild modules, old WHFP 1st Ed. stuff, old MERP stuff) but falls into that other category of "stuff I have that's worth something and I know I'll never play or use." I don't mind lowering the overall value of my gaming collection if it gets into other peoples' hands who wants it and might use it. And it gives me money to reinvest into something that I might actually get to use some day!narpet wrote:This, exactly. I own so much that I know I will never play. I get to play all of my games, eventually, because I am in a group, online, on Thursdays, where our sole purpose is to play games we never get to play otherwise. We are wrapping up a Gear Kreig game in the next week or two, next, I think, is a Cthulhu game.

How is it? I have Three Kings and have Hmmed and Hawed about the core books for a long time. I've played Gear Krieg, Godlike, and Weird War Two - so while this sounds like what I had wanted all along, I've hesitated in snagging yet another WW2 game for $$ I really shouldn't spend. I'm on a teeter rotter about it though.Boot Knife wrote:Achtung! Cthulhu

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
My games seems to be all at a practical standstill.
I haven't run C&C aside from demos this year (much sadness about this) but at least I've got my Call of Cthulhu game (7e) going.
Call of Cthulhu has become a favourite. I've had the chance to play a bit of Cortex Classic and I'm playing in someone else's D&D5 game.
That's about it for the moment.

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
I will say I like Gamma World, Deadlands, Earthdawn, and Shadowrun a great deal. Oh, and Toon. Worlds of Wonder (Basic RPG) is also fun, but generic so effort must be done to give it anything.
Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
My group just finished a year of Deathwatch. We are starting a fresh campaign of C&C next Saturday, our last one was a few years ago. We have also played Serenity, Marvel Heroic, Gurps, and Battlestar Galactica. What can I say, I enjoy the Cortex system. Firefly was considered for our next game , but lost the vote by 1.

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
I should probably downsize. I have a whole shelf of games I don't really like or simply doubt I'll ever try or try again. Still, it's hard. I like my gaming collection despite some of it being boxed in the basement.
Lately started pulling out Kobold's Ate My Baby 1e (never tried any of their later editions but read the Super Deluxe PDF and tossed it aside as too complicated). Now I have to decide between it and Crimson Dragon Slayer for later this month.

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
Gaming here is essentially non-existent. For the most part my RPGs, especially the ones only in PDF, are research material. The ones physically present are the ones for which I have sentimental attachment, or like too much to part with them. I still read them from time to time, as I never know when I might get a rule idea that I can apply to something I'm working on.
Then again, I do have five different copies of the original Traveller rules. I don't need that many, but I don't want to part with them.
