What gaming podcasts do you listen to?
What gaming podcasts do you listen to?
I've never really been one for podcasts. If I'm listening to something, it's usually music. But podcasts are obviously very popular. Lately, I've been listening to the Whartson Hall Gamers, and their RPGMP3 shows.
http://www.rpgmp3.com/ipb/forum/128-wha ... ll-gamers/
Dunno how long they've been at it, but this is a British group of gamers who play a wide variety of games. They usually go from character creation through an adventure. The variety of games they play is impressive.
I started listening to one of their podcasts as a way to hear the actual flow of a game I was planning to (and eventually did) run. But I have continued to listen to their shows because I enjoy them. I really enjoy their variety and humor. I'm currently listening to them play 1st edition Chill.
Do y'all listen to any gaming podcasts? If so, which ones?

Re: What gaming podcasts do you listen to?
Well, I'm not a big one for actual play podcasts. I know some people love 'em....I'm just not one of those.
My RPG gaming podcasts are:
System Mastery
Guys are not work safe for sure, but funny when they review OS games.
Grognard Files
These guys are British, and delve deep into 1980s RPGs, often doing 2-3 hours over a game, split into 2 shows.
Behind the Claw
Classic Traveller podcast, with each show about half an hour long. They're up to ep 32, but have stalled and I fear might be done.
Dead Games Society
As said on the tin, they cover out of print RPGS from the 70s and 80s. Hit or miss, but still worth a listen.
Gag Men
They write an entire adventure per show, but are goofy and so aren't for everyone.
...and of course the Save for Half podcast, which I do with my wife Liz and friend Corbett (see sig for link). We cover OS games as well as new games that try for that Old School feel. We should be covering Castles & Crusades sometime this summer, and when we do I'll of course post here.

I only listen to Save for Half. I used to listen to Save or Die.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I'm the opposite of you, though. Actual play is usually the only type of podcast that interests me...

Re: What gaming podcasts do you listen to?
I was thinking of Mike and Liz' Save or Die. Haven't heard the new one yet.
Re: What gaming podcasts do you listen to?
Ah, ok... Well, if you feel the need for Mike-Liz-ness, check out the Save for Half podcast in my sig. We're joined by Corbett from Gag Men, but Jim will be popping over every now and then when his killer schedule will allow. Our episode #1 has DM Jim, and is the "farewell"-ish episode we never got to do on Save or Die!
DM Mike, still "Bah!" ing through podcasts.

Re: What gaming podcasts do you listen to?
Thanks Todd, and we're hoping to have it up by the end of Summer if we keep on the monthly schedule. Now if we can only get Steve on the show...
BTW, I know Chad's "Game School" podcast has a C&C episode but I haven't listened to it yet. Ep. 24 or 25 AIR...

Re: What gaming podcasts do you listen to?
None.
Can't seem to find any that retain interest. Or, I prefer an actual dialog about games, one in which I can engage, not one I overhear. Feels like eavesdropping to me.
