Wx going sideways here today. Wind is already 20 + MPH, and snow has started. It is weak snow but enough to effect my internet.

If it doesn't kill my connectivity, I'll be here, but if it gets worse and my coms go down ...

If I'm out of pocket, you all know what I want to do.

I'd have to open Maptools to be sure, but I am pretty sure when I verified my XP during our last session, that 130K was it. IDK, maybe I had it at 63K per class, or similar.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

The last xp I had was around 125,420 total or there about. So if you have 63k for each class, that would be fairly accurate.

Ah, OK. Yeah, that number does seem familiar. I need to keep my character sheet here in this thread more religiously updated.

130 ... Crud I'm still 20k from next level , Oh well, time to go save some more kidnaped songstress and the like.

I thought about it and we have to take her back to the city before she goes to the new kingdoms. I remember her boss there at the in say that she left even her bag of money she had saved, along with all her other possessions. All in all it may not be a fortune, but I'd assume it is more than she just wants to abandon.

After getting her back to the city ... do we want to leave the Duke's service ??? If so, we can escort her to the New Kingdoms - In my history before meeting you all, I did travel through them from the coast, up the river, and into the mountain, so I would know inns taverns and show houses she could perform in. In all that, I'm sure there would be ample opportunities for adventures

If we don't want to cut ties with the Duke, and you have additional adventures planed in the area of Dijisy - doing something for Ozpan , or another notable of Dijisy - we can make sure she is with a strong well defended caravan and send her on her way.

You are just trying to avoid the inevitable of Lupa outsmarting all the giants (and looking cool when he does it) & distracting them from the fireballs that are going to rain in on them and the giant slaying Ranger charging in to lay waste .

good game last night

Good fight, good working together and laying waste to the giants

Also, bonus on getting to the elf woods and buying up all those healing potions and getting the 'elf friend' daggers !

It was a good fight. We played it smart and laid it on them good, although I was sad to see "Stinky Pete" get knocked out so early...

How about using the elephant as a distraction? Might give us time to gain good position and/or cover.

We do need a plan, but I don't know if the elephant will work. Will it fit into the cave, or will it be a cork in a bottle neck. Also, what happens if the elephant is killed, does that destroy the magic item ?

To me we have 2 choices, fight it in its layer (not a good choice) or fight it in the open when it can fly in attack and fly away (keeping it out of reach of all our attacks except our 2 bows and my crossbow and wash rinse repeat (a very not good choice). If we are in the cave, there will be traps etc and it will be on its home turf, but at least we will all be in the fight. Plus, we may surprise it and get a few hits in on it . But, if we do that, we need to scout the cave before we go any further as a group. Who knows, the cave back where the dragon is just may be big enough to unleash the elephant on it and us jump into the fray while it fights the thing and trys to avoid a trample attack

Now what magic do we have that will be helpful
My favored ever smoking bottle will be of little help, and the fan of winds will be even less help.

Boots of striding and springing, along with my acrobatic ability & gloves of dex will put me able to jump up on its back and attack it that way and maybe stay on its back for a few rounds at a time. However, though Dardo is special too me, it isn't a massive damage delivering weapon. So, I may literally just be a flee on its back hopping around and being an annoyance at best.

The blink ring ... helpful against the focused attacks aimed at me, but the area effect attacks (fire breath wind buffet etc) will be in full effect. The protection from fire will blunt some of the damage from the fire attacks but ...

And that is it on the magic I bring to the fight.

I think as long as both the Cleric and Druid can give us protection against the breathe weapon, we will win. I doubt a youngish dragon bothers with traps, but it can't hurt to look and be sure.

I will be here for the game tomorrow (God willing and if the creeks don't rise) but I may have to leave early . I have to be at work at 0500 and it is an hour drive to get there, so I'll have to get up at 0330.

I should be there for the fight of the dragon, but after that (if we live, or if the fight doesn't take all night) I may have to leave to get enough sleep to wake up for the drive.

The sad thing is, I have to go in for 8 hours of training that will do me no good what so ever ... If it had any use for me I could see (to a point) getting up that early. However, as it is, it will be a long boring day for no good purpose !
