Backpack Classes

Post by Snoring Rock »

I am so sorry but that classes are just bad.

Why not offer a bunch of advantages that players can create classes out of the existing ones instead?

I am not sure what the Trolls could do with such a criticism this deep into the product development cycle. Have you sent that comment to the Trolls? Otherwise you are mostly torpedoing a product before it's released.

I like the Magic-User and the Archer so far.

The archer isn't bad. I'm still going through with the 2 arrows per round.
I'm glad it's a d8 and not a d10. I could see possibly a d6 as they won't be in melee often.
I see the archer like a specialist like a rogue - not on the front line often but in the back - therefore less hps.
I could see maybe a -2 with melee weapons so the BTH is still good with a bow.
Maybe add +1 damage to the weapon.

I roll test the archer it was not bad. The one that is allowed to cast any spell from any list was actually hard to play.. too many choice! I as frozen by the thought I could the right thing at the right time all the time...

I suggested the Archer be the Marksman.. same abilities with any ranged weapon specifically or a small group. Knife thrower, halfling slinger, etc.

Of the 13 base classes, not all are equal or commonly played, the next 13 will have to be even more specialized.. just not that many archetypes.
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.
