Aufstrag Arising Box Set in the wild yet?

Post by Greengoat »

:?:
Hey folks,

I ordered the starting Aufstrag Arising boxed set along with a lot of other cool stuff from the the Troll Lords. I have never played with the older adventures so I thought it would be a good deal to start with those.

I received all my other books but have yet to see the boxed set in the mail. Has this thing made it into the wild yet or is it still being produced? I just don't want them to slip through the cracks.

Thanks troll lords and troll peons.

Ooohh! I had forgotten about this release. I have the 5 level soft book of the dungeons from the PH7 Kick. It's fabulous and has some of the best dungeons that I have ever seen (this from one who has delved in Rob's, Tim's, Frank's, Steve's and Gary's - et. al. dungeons).

I see this set has large beautiful maps of said dungeons ~ I must have them!!!!

Wonder if this boxed set has all the modules contained separately or in one volume.

Good question, Kayo!

I think I might prefer separate modules.

You?

I'd prefer separate modules but if it's all in one volume it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. For $30 it's quite a steal.

I thought so as well. I figure it would be good to see what a Aihrde set of adventures feels like and useful to have a low level campaign.
The store blurb says it comes with:
Aufstrag Arising Adventure Modules A0-A5
Map Booklet for quick reference
Area Map of the Blacktooth Ridge and Environs
Encounter Chart for the Blacktooth Ridge (Laminated)

So that sounds like the existing adventure books with extras thrown in?
Is there any Troll Lord around we can ask without resorting to a customers service email? That seems so formal.

PM or email Tim Burns. He usually gets back to people fairly quickly.

Nope, I haven't PM'd this Tim Burns yet.
Although that did not stop me from ordering a bunch of stuff for the black friday sale.
If no one does it for me, I will send a message tomorrow night when I am near a proper keyboard.

I emailed Tim and he got back to me right away.
He guessed that since my order went in before the box set was released, it might have slipped by when they sent the haul of existing books to me.
He said he would ship it out as soon as he could

I will post when I get it.
Thank you Troll Lords and Troll Subjects.

My boxed set arrived last weekend along with my scads of other sale stuff. Thanks Tim.

Nice corrugated box with tab folds. Good full lamination on encounter sheet. Softcover module book, laser press. B&W maps book, saddle-stapled? Color region map on card-stock. Only wish the region map was laminated to but that's picky. Don't know how much editing was done on the adventures. Each is a chapter with the original cover art inset. Maps are in softcover book too. Need a closer look. Lots of rool in box to store my other C&C adventures.

Thanks Troll crew.

Nice. Where is the coupon discount and free ship? Didn't see it on their site.

I have the book, so I'll prolly wait for the boxed set on damage or further discount.

Anyway, seriously for any thinking about this material . . it's fabulous. Best dungeons I've seen in ~ 40+ years!

Do it!

Wasn't this originally boxed as "The Umbrage Saga"?

Indeed!

I consider this ~ the pièces de résistance of D&D dungeon delving. A tribute to the old masters, Gary and Rob by Steve and Davis.
